A warning this is a MPEG book for those who do or do not like that in a book. Me I have no problems with MPEG just the way it was done in this book I am still unsure of how I feel about it.Okay first of Cade and Bryant meet on fated date agency through emails so they have no idea even though they are best friends that their mates. Much less Cade thinks his mate is a female for must of this book which a lot of that made no sense to me. One would he have not scented it on Bryant when he did when they meet up in the dark?Okay two when I read a shifter books I like the mates to be together for at least part of this book but Cade was with Tila for most of this book so there was really no time for me to see Bryant and Cade together at all.. Let me also add this Tila woman I was not a fan of at all.I don't want to give anymore spoilers away I am just not sure how else to explain what I just really could not wrap my head around in this book without explaining some of what I was really not a fan of but there was more also that I just did not get but I will not go into.Please don't get me wrong though I liked were the author was going with this shifter series and the Fated Date Agency theme so I want to continue on with this series but for me honestly I am sad to say this book was just not for me...I received this book free in exchange for an honest review from Inked Rainbow Reads.

Descent Series By Shelley D Chastagner The rating is for all three parts.Omega's lie.Cade is a player with no clue that his best friend is in love with him. I liked that he's so positive about Bryant. He's sure that he's an Alpha. No second guessing. Bryant's lack of confidence has him painting himself into a very small corner.Omega's StruggleBryant just keeps trying to fix the gigantic spiderweb of lies by creating more of them. He struggles with wanting to give Cade what he wants and his complete assumption that he will never be it. Bryant starts to slowly sever his ties and destroys his own hope of happiness. Bryant pushes Cade away and toward what he assumes will make him happy.Omega's ConfessionBryant has made a huge mess of his life. His deceptions and lies have come with big consequences. I was disappointed at out weak Cade was. He totally let a woman he only care about as a friend bully him into life altering circumstances over and over again. It made me sad that even when faced with the truth he continued on the path someone else had set out for him. Someone he didn't love, doing something he absolutely didn't believe in. What kind of alpha is that? I have to say that I loved Bryant's mom and his roommate for trying to make things right. The ending with the ex is a bit strange and I could've done without it. I enjoyed the series overall and will be looking for more from this author.Adult read

Even though there paths have at times diverged from each other. Both have separately decided to write to the Fated Dates service to try and find there fated mate. Only problem is that Bryant didn’t know Cade had written to them and when he tell him about the Omega he’s been writing to Bryant goes white. But Cade doesn’t notice. This is a well written installment that is very entertaining to read.Omega’s Struggle 5 StarsSo close and yet so farIn this installment Bryant is avoiding Cade more and more. Cade is about to give up on his Omega. Will the two ever get together or are they fated for doom from the start? Cade starts talking about dating this girl he met but still want his Omega. Bryant just want one night to remember. Well written and very entertaining to read.Omega's Confession 5 StarsSometimes the truth does set you freeLife without ones fated mate can be very lonely and depressing. Especially if you believe he’s moved on with his life and forgotten all about you. Will Cade and Bryant ever be friends again or more? Or has Cade forgotten all about his Omega and about to marry a female? Some twists in the last installment to the series. Interesting and well written story that was a tear jerker to read as well as very entertaining.

Typical Ty Patterson: lots of thrills, mystery, suspense and action. I was a little surprised by the subject this time. That proves not to “pigeon hole” his writing. In the past, the subject has been about national and international law and justice. The Flayer did not seem to be a large enough subject to draw the attention of this outstanding, highly trained team. Two things happened to change this. First: 2 little girls arrived at the Manhattan office to hire Zeb to find the man who killed their mother. They touched his heart. Second: the police commissioner hired them to help find this viscous killer. I personally wonder if his being a friend of the children’s family helped make his decision to ask for help. The story ended by going from high action to sensitivity and caring. A nice ending.My only complaint was the writing. For some reason there were not always clear separation of changes in time and people. An example is that we would be reading about 1 group of people, and the next line would be a completely different group of people interacting. If nothing else, it would have been simple to double space the paragraphs. It made it confusing until you went back to re-read and realize that you were in a new setting.

And I am very excited to read and review this excellent thrilling book.Zeb Carter and his team are solving the mystery and must stop the latest serial killer. The Flay as he is dubbed by the newspapers, uses very gruesome methods to kill his victims.The author describes some of the exceptionally graphic methods of the Flays awful techniques. Some readers may be offended at the graphic details that are revealed but just enjoy the ride!Zeb and his team work to solve the location and identity of The Flay before he kills again. Along the journey, Zeb reveals a few secrets that will surprise readers of Warrior Series.I enjoyed this thrilling ride and look forward to more from Ty Patterson. The Warrior series just keeps getting better.

Flay is book 5 and as all the rest of the books, can be a stand alone. But if you read this book, you will want to read the rest of thr series. I think Flay is the best one so far. I hated to put it down for even a minute as once you start you will want to finish this gripping book. Mr Patterson's writing just gets better and better.Follow Zeb and the Peterson twins along with NYPD as they track down a serial killer who kills women in a very gruesome way. There is also a second storyline that Mr. Patterson weaves in. So whether or not you have read any of the series, make sure you do not miss this one. You will be like the rest of us Warrior readers and cannot wait for the next one.

The power tools of effective parenting By Beran Parry Bringing up children, especially teenagers, is unquestionably one of life's major challenges and this remarkable guide book to effective parenting provides plenty of answers and yet manages to shoot straight from the hip. The author's experience as a parent, as well his impressive career in the military and the police, enables him to explore some hard-hitting truths about the best ways to care for and educate our children. And his advice makes perfect sense. This is a remarkable man who has overcome incredible odds in his life yet who focuses essentially on helping us to guide our kids to make the right decisions, even from their early years. As a parenting guide, it's a clearly expressed and persuasive set of principles that take the mystery out of bringing up kids to be happy, confident and able to take responsibility for what they do - including the inevitable mistakes! It reads like a welcome breath of fresh air and I suspect that many educators and child care specialists would benefit enormously from reading and absorbing these well-considered principles. It's a classic.

Looking back if I had this Parent's Instruction Manual things would have been different. My only saving factor was I had some good creative genes which was passes on to my kids without my conscious help. Don't get me wrong I was not a bad guy just to self-involved to help my family. Laughton's book would have been a great help as I meant well I was just on the wrong track.I once lost a friend for criticizing her book on parenting because she did not have kids. I can't fault the author as he has 5 boys to build his case.Real life experience is the key to this book. Lieutenant Colonel Laughton gives you the step-by-step process to guide your kids, especially teenagers, to an exciting future.The books starts with showing you where you are messing up. This will correct your methods and give you the understanding of where you are going wrong. The author reveals the ten major problem areas to direct your energy.He then takes you into the specific areas to help guide your youth. As an example he devoted a chapter to "How To Help Your Child Avoid Becoming A Submissive Follower". Your kid's will have active outside people remolding them into a problem areas. This is basic starting point of many teens going in bad directions. And this is only the second chapter of this necessary manual, there are eight action packed chapters.Truthfully this book makes me sad. Why did not someone write this information years ago? I would have used this information to improved the lives of my kids. (Please don't get me wrong my kids have turned out just fine.) I believe if you have kids and miss getting a copy of this work you doing your children's future a great disservice.Invaluable information! Recommended!

He starts out by sharing his own “almost” story about being arrested as a youth. I found that the author’s description of game changing moments and how it will be up to your children to make the right decision when these important choices are facing them to be powerful teaching opportunities. How I wish I’d had this book when my kids were growing up! I certainly recommend this well-written and easy to read book. Well done!

I am a huge fan of the Lizzy and Diesel series, but her usual wit and talent are missing. So many inconsistencies have me wondering if she even wrote ANY of this one. She definitely needs to fire Phoef Sutton. Evanovich's style is unmistakable, and it is missing here. I want my money back, and am so disappointed that I am unsure whether I will continue to support her books.

Although the story line is good and the characters are all intact, it became immediately apparent that Janet Evanovich did not write this book and Phoef Sutton did. The character's personalities changed and the lighthearted comedy that is synonymous with each Evanovich book is missing. I am sorry that I purchased the book and would have just checked it out from the library as I doubt that I will go back and re-read the book. I hope that when the next "Wicked" book comes out, Janet Evanovich actually stays true to the characters in the first two books and doesn't use Phoef as her writer.

After reading 34% of it, I am done. I look forward to some silly moments in her books that cause chuckles and some seriously funny moments that cause me to laugh so loud that I look around to see if I've disturbed anyone. The previous book in this series was so much better. Sorry Janet.

This is the fourth book.Amber is reunited with her sisters and has inherited an amazing house from her foster parents. Momma was wrong... her foster parents did love her. Too bad they died before she could reconnect with them! Everything seems unreal. At least she is safe from the evil woman who kidnpped and rised her to believe she was evil and unloveable. Her powers as a medium are disconcerting to say the least but for some unexplicable reason she feels compelled to do a spell for mediums she discovers in her Book Of Shadows and the die is cast. Will she be followed by ghosts now wherever she goes? Was it her actual mother that convinced her to cast the spell or someone or something more sinister? How is she ever going to feel lik her life is real with all these new and unreal things that keep happening to and around her?I love this series and the unique voices of all three sisters as written by these three amazing authors! I can't wait to read wht happens next in Hope Welsh's Amy book!!! I can't imagine a better series of this type ever :)***This series is suitable for adult readers that enjoy a little whimsey and mayhem in their urban paranormal romances :)

Reeves's "Haunting Karma: Witches of Karma" is the fourth story in the "Witches of Karma" Series. Separated as young children triplets Amber, Amethyst and Topaz have just been reunited. New to the craft, they're learning how to control their abilities while adjusting to their rapidly changing social and family lives. Out of all three women, Amber has had it the hardest. Kidnapped by a psychotic woman as a child, she's never had a traditional education, family, and social life. But now all of that's changed. Now she has two sisters, a handsome boyfriend, a real identity, and magic powers. If only her self confidence could keep up with all of the changes. Amber still has a lot of adjusting to do especially since her medium powers are starting to kick into high gear. Will Amber be able to control her powers or will her powers control her? Overall, I really enjoyed this story. Amber is sweet and fragile, but with each day she's growing into the powerful woman she was always meant to be. I can't wait to read the next book in the series!

Amber is a powerful witch and medium that lacks confidence. It doesn't take long to learn that "Momma" was an evil woman that made her that way. Amber is trying to find her way and become a more confident person. Momma haunts her in an effort to prevent that. There is a build up for the end and just as your anticipation reaches its peak BAM it's over. A mysterious place is briefly introduced that I'm sure will be explained much later in the series. When that happens this ending will or should make sense. For now I feel cheated thou, so much potential for a great ending untapped.

A very Personal and Vermont Situated Perspective on the Revolutionary War By Talvi Rebels is an interesting mix of history and fiction; the illustrations are excellent and the storytelling crisp. The perspective is very much the author's home area in Vermont; the first 6 chapters follow a young man from the area who is drafted into the rebellion through Ethan Allen. The last 4 chapters are single stories from various perspectives: a redcoat, an Indian, and two women. Yes, this is very jingoistic; the author makes no bones about it. But this is also grounded and a great way to explore the history of the time.The illustrations are well done though I admittedly had a hard time following the story at several points. But the look and feel of the era are well written and drawn. All the characters can be classified as simple decent folk; the hardships they leave behind in order to join the war are given as much time as the battles themselves.The latter stories do feel a bit rushed - they are meant to be vignettes and so can feel far less personal than the earlier story of Seth Abbott. Certainly, Seth Abbott was modeled on the author's father and therefore there is a lot of nuance to him as well as the rest of the Green Mountain Boys.The book includes extras - author perspectives, covers, illustration notes, and the process to create the graphic novel. I would have loved more information about the history than what was given but do appreciate the extras all the same.In all, a beautifully presented and subtle perspective on the American Revolution. Reviewed from an advance reader copy provided by the publisher.

Northlanders for the Revolutionary War By Spidey Basically Northlanders for the Revolutionary War, Rebels is an anthology series set during the time of our founding fathers. The best story in the bunch is a one off featuring Sarah Hull, a camp follower who steps up in an emergency. The story featuring Seth Abbott is quite good. However there are some pages with no dialogue where the art is supposed to tell the story. I felt like I was missing something on these pages as Wood seemed to put emphasis on these story elements. The only story that didn't work for me was the one dedicated to the Redcoat.Received an advance copy from Edelweiss in exchange for an honest review.

For starters, the author definitely has that voice that tells you "good writing." This book is an EXCELLENT read with a plot that really had me thinking. I pondered the situation and tried to mentally "sort it out." The complexity is marvelous. This is definitely "in there" with my 5-STAR books! Don't miss this one!

What a wonderful, complex, true to life love story on so many levels. This is a story that I keep thinking about during the day. Very thought provoking, heart warming and heart rending all at the same time. I hope this author continues to write. What a gifted storyteller she is!

Its a novel about two 9 year old boys - who were friends at school. Ben had always been kind of hyperactive and Josh had been extremely shy and neither had many friends until they became friends with each other. After a fight on the playground, one of them ends up in the hospital with brain damage and the other one always been won't talk about it at all. Both families are caught up in the ensuing turmoil surrounding fallout of the boys disagreement. As they struggle to find out what really happened, with little help from the school administration, secrets are revealed in each family.The characters are very real and full of good and bad traits - at times during the book, I disliked all of the adult characters - especially the two mothers - but then found out later that they had reasons for the way they acted and then my opinion of them changed. There were times that the book was very difficult to read. Any time a child is injured to this extent, its very painful to read because its so emotional to any parent.Overall, I highly recommend this book -- its a fantastic book to read and hard to put down once you start it. This is the first book that I've read by Kate Hewitt but I plan to read more of her books.(Thanks to the author for a copy of this book for a fair and honest review)

I remember when I was younger, I would feel awesome some days, and not-so-hot others. It really depended on the day or the people I surrounded myself with. It s just part of being a kid. You have plenty of time to feel depressed and mopey when you become a teenager (or an adult). The latest children s book from the Stranger Kids I Am series, I Am Awesome, focuses on just that. Because children have such wild and brilliant imaginations, there s a theme of superheroes that flows throughout the book, because what s more awesome to kids than superheroes? Jones and Garcelle Beauvais ensure the message of being special and awesome no matter who you are rings loud in this third installment of their I Am series.

Artist James C. Webster returns as artist, with his pleasant painted style bringing Jay and Nia s adventures to life. One of my favorite staples of the I Am series, the frogs, return with costumes and tiny cars aplenty, always providing a good laugh throughout the panels. Find the frogs is a possible fun game to play with your young reader. The warm colors and welcoming illustrations continue to pair well with the story, and at this point it wouldn t be a true I Am book without Webster s art.

From racing on rainbow roads to Jay and Nia s own Justice League of friends, I Am Awesome has plenty for both child and adult to enjoy. In the back of the book is the usual interactive section for kids to do various things, such as draw themselves as a superhero, and describe what makes them so awesome. Also included are some questions for both parents and children to explore together. It s a great ending that Jones and Beauvais continue to include with each book. Looking for a great series to have in your classroom and library? The I Am series is definitely the one I constantly recommend because of its mission to bring parents and kids together and bond over the fun story they just read.

Beautiful Book By stallion I have read this to my two year old daughter twice and all though she doesn't get it (she just turned two), it is a really wonderful and we'll written book. My daughter is biracial and I don't want to make a big deal out of it and in a perfect world she would never have to deal with any issues based on race, but in the real world and living in the south, this is a very real issue. When my daughter begins to question and notice that she has parents of two different skin colors and she is not a blonde haired light skinned little girl, nor is she a dark haired and brown skin little girl, but somewhere in the middle, I want to address it in the most positive light possible. Most certainly, this book will not answer all questions and solve if any and all issues but it does put a very unique a d light hearted positive spin on being biracial, that I absolutely love. This book is very heart warming and brings the beauty out in all races, ethnicities and cultures. It implements the beauty of having both or more than 2. It shows the fun and uniqueness of having the pleasure to experience the best of both worlds and be the absolute best version of you regardless of what your "race" is....imply puts value on who you are as a person. Once again, in a perfect world, this would be ideal if EVERYONE could look at beauty simply based on who one is on the inside, but we are in the real world where that can be difficult to do, even for the best of us.My daughter is simply gorgeous, don't get me wrong. ..she has gorgeous brown hair thats insanely curly and long. She has big beautiful green eyes and soft tan skin. A majority of the time I'm asked if she's Latina, and some say they were unaware that she's biracial when they see her, and others know that she is simply a beautiful biracial baby. However, that's not her whole identity. ...it's part of her make up and will influence who she becomes as a person but I hope in the most positive ways. She's smart and bright and ALWAYS smiling. She's energetic and a HUGE tomboy. She's compassionate and sensitive yet very stubborn :). I love her for precisely who she is and I can't wait to see who she becomes. As I've gotten off track, I will pull back on track and say that this book will hopefully help her see all her individual, inner and outer beauty for her appropriate age. As she gets older...maybe around 8 and up, I do not seeing this being very Influential as she will probably outgrow it.But none the less this is a wonderful book that I believe should be in all schools and libraries.

She was able to connect with being a super hero by making notes at the end of the book. Great idea for the imagination!! Great stuff!

If you have a young child struggling with being themselves, who are bullied or struggling with family issues, this is the book for them. Told in pictures and verse it also has a section at the back where parents can lead discussions with their children around self esteem issues and opens the conversation on WHY the child is struggling. This is a great book for families to read together as a group, and to keep going back to. I Am Awesome is exactly that! Well done Garcelle!

Unique and a fun adventure By Jelena Bosh I wasn't sure what to expect from this collection of books but I was glad that I was given the opportunity to read all 5 in exchange for an honest review.Not having read science fiction in a very long time, I was super excited to delve into this one. It seemed like a great opportunity for a breath of fresh air.The characters were engaging and very interesting, different to anything or any story I have read in this genre before. Though I can't remember the last time that I was THIS addicted to names I can barely pronounce!It was surprising to see how intense and emotionally demanding these mere novella length books were. That's what caught my eye more than anything. That the author was able to create a world were even if it was within a few shorter than my usual length of pages written, she still managed to capture the essence, depth and emotional roller coasters of such a unique world.I am not even going to mention the writing style. It was beautiful.The things that made me mark it to a 3 out of 5, were merely around the idea of the story as a whole. Though I did enjoy that this was such a unique creation in comparison to books I inhale in a heartbeat, I realised why I haven't read a science fiction book in a long time. It's uncountably interesting BUT it just didn't deliver the emotional connection for me personally.Braita is a very strong characters, and she develops so well throughout the story. I just couldn't get past some of the more less-believable aspects of the world.Don't get me wrong, I would recommend this book to anyone that is looking for a fun, inspiring and interesting adventure, but I think you'd love it more if you were a die hard science fiction fan as opposed to the contemporary/romance/new adult avid reader like myself.I would read more of Scarlett Dawn's books, especially with her writing style that is so beautiful and easy to read.Thank you for the opportunity to read the Cold Mark - The Complete Saga by Scarlett Dawn ARC.

From the amazing characters to the amazing worlds I loved every minute. There were moments of sadness and moments of joy, and when it ended I was sad but I know the author has more exciting things in store for us!

By Danielle A Cup and A Book I absolutely loved this series!Braita is a fantastic heroine who wants one thing: freedom.After devastation hits Joyal, Braita and her best friend Jax find themselves in a while new world - and it is brutal.Braita learns quickly yo rely on herself and what a self to rely on!! She is a heck of a fighter, smart as a whip, and holds more cards than she thinks.Braita's weakness is her lack of experience. However, this helped make her character likeable. I rooted for her the entire way :) Even when I thought she was being silly or unfair, I could understand why.The supporting characters are absolutely perfect! Jax is such a good friend; helping Braita acclimate to her new home as soon as he can. The Plumas, oh the PLUMAS! Sheesh... I can't say anything but Holy Hotness. That is all I will say.Don't worry, this isn't a sap-fest - there is plenty of action. In fact there is a character that you will want to beat bloody with a tire iron (or whatever your weapon of choice is).A must read IMO.
