Messing around with your best friend brother and never telling her about it is a no no. Although I do love hers and Jessica's friendship I hope she tells her the truth before Rocky decides to do it for her. And to fall in love with such an douche. Come on girl. Bad boys are not always the best boys.Jessica- So she started off with a bang and for that I was stuck on her, but when she went back to Rasheed after he beat her up I was like NOOOO! No way can she be that stupid, but when she got her tail beat again it all became clear that she was. When Desmond cleaned her cuts up I only hoped he was what she needed in life. And it seems like he is. She cleaned up her act, started loving her job and left Rasheed in the dust. props to you girl. And my heart melted when she said she wanted to take custody of some kids she doesn't even know and raise them. they deserved that. one thing i didn't like is that when the girl first told her she was being touched they should have been removed from the home right then and there and not allowed back in so he could do it again. that sick bastard. I hope that "mother" of the children gets what she deserves. ugh females who have children and don't take care of them really leave a bad taste in my mouth.Hennessey- Now when I read his name I was like no dang way his mother did not name him this, but as I kept reading his name stuck to me. I love his relationship with Keice when he learns to keep his d!ck in his pants. I can't believe he banged Stacy in the office. let alone when back and banged her cousin. If I was Keice the first time she spoke out of line to me as a manager i would have sent her home, next would have been fired. keeping a hoe around is bad for business. I loved the fact that he changed his life around after he got out of prison. he realized that wasn't a place for him to be and started his own business and was doing pretty damn good for himself. proud of that.Desmond-Now starting off I liked Desmond. I was rooting for him to be just like his cousin and turn his life around, but when he let his punk a$$ brother talk him into some easy money I was over him. Like it shouldn't have even been an issue he should have just told him no from the jump and none that s*** would have went down. i hope he doesn't keep doing stupid stuff that gets his son caught in the cross fires.Ken- When he was first introduce i knew he was nothing, but a snake in the grass. I knew he was trouble and his involvement in the story only confirmed it. I get that you're jealous Hen had it all and you had to work harder for yours, but to take it to this extreme is just bananas, Kidnapping people, rape, burning down houses. come on Ken. you had it coming to you after you did what you did to Jessica. sorry about what happened to his family, but you can't go around thinking you're untouchable.Johnazia is just a beast when it comes to writing and I have loved everything I have read from her so far. Jump into this book and enjoy this 5 star banger.
1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. A great read By Kia Storyline was great. Keice and Jessica try to have a fun night but Jessica boyfriend rasheed ruins it. Keice tired of jessica going back to rasheed gives it to her straight. Jessica blinded by love is dumb but after rasheed beats her and people records it she finally lets him go. Keice and Hennessey meet up after he helped whoop rasheed and they click. Hennessey is not your typical dude he has businesses and goals but his cousin Desmond tries to bring him down. Desmond is all about money so when he's a brother Ken offers him an opportunity this smuggling drugs for him he takes it. Jessica job is hard especially when she gets attached to 3 kids she reporting on. Hennessey and keice are working together in his stores but she has to put us jump offs in their place first.Jessica and Desmond try to kindle some flames. Desmond starts a war between Ken and Hennessey and Jessica becomes a causality. Hennessey has bigger problems when he sleeps with two cousins and they both pregnant but it may be too late when drama is brought to front door.

Some authors have gotten caught up in just telling us what happened versus focusing on the real art of storytelling. There were moments in the story that were kind of slow... It didn't get "juicy" until the end. I will be reading part 2 just to see what happens.
