I loved the resiliency of Devyn (h) and the determination of Nikola (H). I will read the next and the next and the next book by this author. It was sexy, surprising, touching and funny!!!! It wasn't a novel of they met, slept together, a misunderstanding ensued, they got back together and lived happily ever after. They knew each other for years but were denying their mutual attraction to each. Each had their own issues. But Devyn and Nikola fit together like 2 puzzle pieces.If you are looking for an Alpha male who has a growing relationship with an ever increasing confident woman. This is the book for you. The book is so good that I want to give away the multiple surprises in the book. But I won't because I want everyone to experience them one by one, layer by layer like the rest of us. I don't generally give five star reviews because a book has to be really special. This one was. I can't recommend this book highly enough. Take the time to get to know Devyn, Nikola, their family and friends. You will not be sorry. You will just say WOW!!!
11 of 11 people found the following review helpful. 5 stars book + annoying heroine = 4 stars By Barkbad This was easily a 5 stars book: good storyline, true alpha male, some twists, and hot sex; however, I spent too much of my time being annoyed by this heroine. Although office romance storylines have been done to death, I really enjoyed this one. The first half of the book was extremely enjoyable thanks to the hero! He knew what he wanted and he went after it!! The story actually fell off for me in the second half; that's when the heroine's actions started to work my nerves. She came cross as self-centered and immature at times. I would have been a-okay if the hero threw his hands in the air and said, "Okay - I'm done". This is definitely one of those books where I connected more with the hero than heroine. With that said, I would recommend this book.

I thoroughly enjoyed this one and would definitely read it again, as well as recommend it to others. Nikola loved Devyn, with everything he had, even with her issues, (verbal abuse is just as bad as physical, been there, done that), but with the love of good man (like Nikola), will get any woman over that hurdle. Hell, I need a man like him in my life, even with some of his controlling ways. I loved the way story was told, it was totally complete. And Diane and Iris...who knew...lol loved that!!! Now when can I expect to see the stories about Andre, Mercedes & Raul?
