By Steve Cann The Billionaire's Revenge is the third entry in Julie Farrell's excellent Billionaire Romance series, & this time the spotlight falls (literally!) on the youngest Quinlan brother Joseph.The book starts in fine form with Joseph, now riding high as lead singer of his rock band onstage at a pulsating gig. As a reader, I really felt as if I were truly there in the audience watching this amazing spectacle.In the story however, freelance journalist Eleanor IS among the audience - she's captivated by Joseph's performance, & is starting to feel the pangs of passion for him! Only problem is, she's currently engaged to Joseph's unsavory ,manager Matthew, with whom she has a fractious relationship due to his history of cheating on her.When Eleanor is offered a job at one of America's top tabloid newspapers, it seems her long-held dream has finally come true. But she soon discovers the underhand & illegal techniques that the company employs to obtain its sensationalistic stories, & becomes trapped in a moral dilemma. Now hooked up with rock-star Joseph in a very steamy & sensual affair, she soon discovers that his family have some secrets of their own that the press would love to expose - & they both become involved in dangerous game that could prove disastrous for both of them.As with the first two books in the series, this is a well-written, tense & intriguing story - showcasing once again Julie's wonderful trademark descriptive & innovative writing style that really breathes life & energy into all the characters & situations. A very sexy rock star romance By Monique D Journalist Eleanor Davison is attending a concert in Greenwich Village featuring The Banned, Joseph Quinlan’s band, and she is captivated by the rock star’s charisma and passion. Six months later, Eleanor is engaged to Matthew, Joseph’s manager, and she sees the rock star every day. Joseph is very much attracted to Eleanor; Matthew has been cheating on her repeatedly, and one day she succumbs to Joseph’s charms.THE BILLIONAIRE’S REVENGE is book 3 in Julie Farrell’s Tycoon Billionaires series and the younger Quinlan brother is featured. While the book features characters and events from the previous instalments, THE BILLIONAIRE’S REVENGE can be read as a standalone, as any details relevant to the story arc are supplied by the author.I must admit that this is not what I expected with Joseph’s story. It seems the rather shy and quiet young man’s rapid ascension to rock superstardom brought out his alpha male side in spades. Joseph craves his privacy, and Eleanor now working for a tabloid does not make for smooth sailing! Especially when events related to both Joseph and Eleanor’s career successes take a turn for the worse, and involve some Quinlan family secrets as well.Ms. Farrell’s superb writing reigns supreme again and her insight into yellow journalism is captivating. It was mesmerizing, passionate, and sensuously exciting. Reminding me of the joys and passions of my youth. Had me captive from the first paragraph! A book I didn't want to put down (except bathroom breaks of course!) Joseph will seduce, entrance, and thrill you. Elenore will win your heart and revive the goodness inside your soul. Together they will lead you on a journey through pain, pleasure, and the absolute knowledge that there are some things you never give up on: to do what's right and not let evil or bad people win.Julie Farrell is an inspiration and seems to understand people's fears, hopes, and even our insecurities. Through her words, her stories, her characters, she touches our hearts. Julie shows us that we all have the strength, courage, and knowledge inside of us and all we have to do is to trust ourselves and understand that none of us is ever truly alone in this world. And we are so much stronger that we believe ourselves to be. And yes, believe it or not, one person can make a difference. Don't give up!This was the best book so far!! I am eager for more. Every book that Julie Farrell writes is better than it's predecessor. She is always evolving and totally brilliant.
