About the Author Alex Brown is a Christian author and singer songwriter. He has performed his original music at coffee houses, cafes, and colleges in New York, California, and Denmark. He released an EP in 2012 titled Four Seasons One God, and released a new CD in 2015 titled Show Some Love. Waterfalls and Bridges is Alex's first book. He and his wife contribute inspirational writing for Susan's blog, Susan Lorraine Daily Devotionals. Alex is currently writing and recording new songs for his next CD.

Derby Yesterday was one of the hardest days of my life as my two sons left home and assured me that they would not be returning. Waterfalls and Bridges took me from my feelings of despair to focusing on our Lord, who has a better plan and purpose for every life experience. Brown's thoughtful reflection on his own life has helped me to remember that Romans 8:28 . . all things work together for good to those who love God . . .

Alex's journey, family and faith provide a probably not so uncommon experience in today's America. So much of his faith story is universal and needs to be shared. There are miracles in our lives if we only take the time to recognize them.

By Captain of the Stripes Touching and heartfelt story about a young boy growing up on the east coast and navigating his path through every obstacle he faces. It's an honest autobiographical portrayal of a life lived fully. Through the miracles that happen, we see his faith become a driving force in his life and we, as readers, gain strength with very chapter. The healing that takes place is divine, and I hope Mr. Brown writes a second book, so we can continue the journey right alongside him...
