2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Best of the Series so far... By C Patterson Olivia Markham came to Kansas to marry Adam Brody. As he was already betrothed, Olivia decided to stay. Olivia is still struggling in this book to put her society airs aside. She is getting better with her hotel work, but still judging others and not looking beneath the surface.Robert Osbourne is a preacher with a past. He needs Olivia' s help with the church choir and isn't beyond begging. Olivia is brash and outspoken, but everyone deserves a second chance to make a first impression. His anger proves that he is human and affected by Olivia' s personality as much as the next.This story of growth and acceptance is beautifully written. God loves all of us, regardless of our struggles, and He is always working in our lives. This is a sweet, clean romance and I was blessed to read it.
1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Smiling broadly By Robin Oh my gosh Amelia has done it again. Another wonderful creation to add to the list. The ongoing saga of Topeka, Kansas and all of the amazing characters that inhabit the pages of the book. I can't wait for the next one.

Robert Osbourne longs to reach the people of Topeka for God and make a difference as the pastor of the small church. These two could not be more opposite, or so it would seem. Outward appearances aside they share a vulnerability that makes this my favorite book in the series thus far. This story explores the themes of forgiveness, grace, vulnerability, and discovering what truly brings happiness to one's life. One of my favorite lines is "Life doesn't have to be perfect to make us happy...We choose to be happy, and that makes life perfect."This story resonated with me causing me to laugh and cry and just stop to ponder my own life journey. It is a simply enjoyable tale that I hope will leave you with a smile in your heart.
