Winter's (the author) first book was Never Kiss A Stranger, followed by Never Is A Promise. It's different than the others... well truly, they are all different than from each other. No cookie cutter story lines here! When I first read the premise, I wasn't sure if I was going to like it. I don't like love triangles at all... but right away Winter made sure to add there was no cheating. And since I love Winter's other books and writing, I trusted her... there was no way I was going to turn down the opportunity to read this book (she is pretty much an auto-buy for me).My review is about why I loved this book, and why you should buy it! I won't re-hash and summarize, because I am sure there are a lot of reviews that will already do that. And believe me, that is not a criticism! I faithfully read almost every review before I buy a book... I get very invested, and feel everything in a book; it feels real to me, so I don't want to waste my time on a book that's going to piss me off with an ending I hate. You will not be disappointed with any books in this series! We briefly met Skylar in the first of the "Never" series, Never Kiss A Stranger, as the assistant to Addison. Honestly, she wasn't that memorable... I had to go back and re-read it to remember who she was and how she was written... and frankly, she did not make the greatest of impressions to me in that book. But Winter actually addresses some of those exact interactions from the first book which really helps explain and shed some new light on those early, not so favorable glimpses we had of her. When I started to read her story, I still wasn't sure I liked her. Sure, I loved her background story, how she became who she is... the "ugly duckling" to swan (she was never ugly, it was just her perception of herself), Whitney to Skylar. There were times I felt connected, that I could really relate, and there were times she was so irritating, some of her choices, her thoughts and her ridiculous actions. And then I realized... it's because that's exactly how a person would react in real life! Winter breathes such life into the characters, that you get annoyed because you KNOW that although you would love to say, "I would never do that, she's so stupid", in reality you know you WOULD do that, and probably have! It's only in hindsight that you realize that maybe that wasn't the smartest decision or way of thinking. Her characters are flawed, yet beautiful and, well, real. Theo had his own issues, but he was never a jerk, he was never dishonest, but you could still feel and understand his turmoil and dealing with his past. Winter does a wonderful job of making her heroes in all her books like-able, in their interactions with the heroines. They may have a spotty past, but you never question their integrity when reading the "present" story while pursuing the heroines. Cory was very real too, well written and believable. As you get to know him more, and see how he develops, you realize that you probably knew someone like him in your life too, and he probably turned out the same way (not the dramatic turn so much, just the emerging of his true nature), that you looked back on that person you knew and thought, "I should've seen that coming, and known that about him (or her), but I never would've guessed while in the middle of it all." Trust me, once you read the book, you will understand. Despite the drama that is present, it's not overly angst-y, won't make you want to throw your kindle at the wall, or make your stomach drop in horror as if on a roller coaster... which made me love it all the more. All 3 of books in the "Never" series make me feel the same way... about the H, the h, and their stories. They are so real, I want to call them up on the phone as either ask what the hell were they thinking, or squeal in happiness and celebrate with them. Also, this one wasn't as steamy as Never Kiss A Stranger, which is probably the steamiest, or Never Is A Promise. But there was still plenty of action, so you won't be disappointed!I know the review is cryptic, and doesn't give away much of the story line, but that is the point. The point I want you to take away, is that this is a great book and should be an automatic One Click Buy! It's so wonderfully written! You will love and hate some of the characters, but only because you can either personally relate, or you know someone exactly like them! The story is real (other than these billionaires seeming to grow on trees that we all run into in everyday life), and engaging. I usually like escapes from reality, and fantastical stories about billionaires you will never meet... not because I don't like my life, but because I live in real life, and I like these stories to take me to an alternate reality. But Winter manages to turn those fantastical characters into real (although still billionaires), believable ones, while still giving you a heart-warming HEA.And although it is not necessary to read the other books in the series, Never Kiss A Stranger and Never Is A Promise, seriously, why wouldn't you?! You will totally be missing out if you don't buy them as soon as you finish this review!!

The author does it again by writing a fabulous story which kept me glued to my kindle and wouldn’t let me get any sleep until I finished this book, for which she is forgiven. The couple in this book is people who know each other like 6 degrees of separation. There is Skylar who is Addie’s assistant (Addie was the heroine in book 1 “Never Kiss a Stranger” ) and then the hero is Theo is a billionaire –well is new to the money after an idea he had went HUGE and now he is rich and oh, by the way, he is Addie’s cousin by marriage- we met him in book two “Never is a Promise”.Both the MC in this story has such rich backgrounds that give them such heartbreaking stories that make you want to sooth their pain. Skyler is getting her feet “wet” showing properties for Addie and she is new to New York—she is learning how to be a real estate agent/broker under Addison. She loves her job and she worries about how she looks. What no one realizes is that back up until college, she was very overweight until she slimmed down and when she got to New York, she dated a guy who went out with her and used her as “arm candy”. Skyler is still getting over that pain. Then she ends up showing this one property to this one gentleman and something about him has her wondering . He is baffling as a client and he is driving her up the wall with his wants but he still is very handsome.. As the story goes on, you see more of her character and how she is a bit naïve about life and people, especially men. (I.E. Corey- go back to earlier statement about the six degrees of seperation)Theo is a handsome man who wants what he wants. He is a go getter yet he has been used by women, friends in the past(I,E Corey--see told you about the six degrees of seperation ) so he doesn’t trust freely like he used to. His parents just up and left him with a mentor and he grew up with that family until something happened. That family became his family and they shaped the man he is today. He is super cocky and does not hesitate to stand up for himself; Works hard for his company –strong work ethic! Theo is moving to NY from LA and he was needing help to find a place so Addie suggested Skylar to him since she is busy. This is how they meet and it’s this chemistry between them. Theo found out she had a date and he had her break it- just so he could have her attention. Oohh that was deliciously naughty of him.Theo wants to get all of Skyler’s attention but she’s not biting the bait. Even though they just met, the chemistry is so good, the heated scenes are awesome. There is wanting, needing that you can reading vibing thru the air. Skylar is making Theo work for her time and attention instead of being an afterthought and it looks like finally things are working. But there is a serpent in garden of their Eden- there is a hinky character named Corey- this is someone in Theo’s past. He is NOT a good guy and let’s just say he is out to do MAJOR damage and revenge. Theo and Skyler end up in a fight, are separated and there is this HUGE agenda which this person has been undertaking all to get back at Theo. Theo almost loses two very important thing in his life(Skyler and his business). He has to decide whether or not to give in or to let go. The twists that take place will have you wondering what just happened. There are some intense emotions here in this story and it is heart pounding at times. There are games being played that made me wonder if the MC would ever make it. The ending of the story is absolutely wonderful and I highly recommend this book.MY RATING: 4.8 STARS *****

By Felicia Eddy I received an ARC for an honest review.I have read all three books in this series so far and I have to say each book is better than the last and I am thoroughly enjoying each and every one of them. This one is about Skylar and Theo who we briefly met in the first book Never Kiss a Stranger. This takes place 2 years after and a lot has changed for Skylar and Theo. Theo has come into a lot of money – something he has experienced from the outside but never really had any money of his own and Skylar is working for Addison (the heroine from Never Kiss a Stranger) and is moving up in Manhattan real estate. She has been tasked to try and find Theo an apartment in New York quickly as her first assignment on her own. While there is a mutual attraction (one that Skylar doesn’t want to admit to) both characters have quite a bit of baggage and misconceptions of each other that pull them apart when they want to be together. What I loved about this book is the old saying don’t judge a book by its cover is true for both Skylar and Theo. Its also a story about trust, empathy, and being open to new things that both characters learn as they get to know each other. While Theo knew from the beginning what he wanted – Skylar was unsure but both had to learn that the other was there no matter what as they move through the story. While there is a great message there is still a lot of romance and a real sweetness to the story you don’t always see. If I had one compliant it would be that I would have liked to have seen 1 scene between Wilder and Theo – especially since Theo may have needed a sounding board for some of the things he was dealing with but really that is just me. I always love when old characters come back and we do get a great update as to what’s going on with Addison and Wilder. If you are looking for a great summer romance that has a great message; don’t pass this up. It’s definitely worth the time.
