By Tams (TTC Books and more) Justin White is trying to work his way through college at a local coffee shop while also helping his parents support his sister who was wounded in Afghanistan. He suffered a setback emotionally and financially after a bad break left him homeless and adrift. He overhears a couple regular customers at the coffee shop discussing hiring an assistant, and the job description is right up Justin’s alley, so he applies. He’s really quite shocked when he gets the job, since Justin and the companies CFO loath each other on a good day.Eli Ovadia is cold, calculated, domineering and egotistical. And that’s all before breakfast! A Dom by nature, he carries his need to control across both his personal and professional life. At first Eli thinks that Sam’s new assistant is a smart mouthed, know it all twink, but he’s quickly proven wrong. The sexual tension between the two of them is so thick that it permeates a five mile radius. Even Sam threatens to turn the hose on them if they catch his office on fire. They don’t act on the attraction straight away; in fact, they both fight it tooth and nail for far too long.Looking to blow off some steam and release a bit of tension, Eli and Justin wind up at the same party to play out some scenes, and wind up playing with fire. Eli learned early on that he was a Dom, but he’s not cruel or vindictive, he is the kind of Dom that cares for his Sub and cherishes them. He has been broken down and hurt so many times that he rarely lets anyone past the tough exterior he hides behind. But somehow Justin manages to brush past the barbed wire and touch the tough Dom’s heart.Just as well has had a hard time in life. A submissive by nature, he fell under the control of a cruel and selfish Dom early on and wound up an unwitting slave to a sexual sadist. Now Justin fears ever giving up the control over his body that he craves more than his next breath, for fear of losing control over his individuality again like the last time. Justin is so blinded by his pain that he can’t see the glaring differences between Eli and his past and winds up hurting them both. So, I don’t normally read BDSM, I have never been able to comprehend hurting someone you say you love. But having read the first book in this series and loving it, I had to at least give this one an honest effort. I am thrilled that I did, I loved it more than the first! Zabo has taken the lifestyle of a Dom/Sub relationship and picked it apart for the faint of heart like me, using terms, descriptives and feelings that not only explain the lifestyle and the necessity of it some people crave. But the effect it has on these two men that fall in love with each other, to spite the deck being stacked against them.Eli is very controlling, but pliable. He has this engrained need to be in control, to spank and throttle, but only in a way that is acceptable and requested by his Sub. Justin craves the pain to the point of needing it to thrive, much like food and sleep. So while I don’t comprehend the lifestyle, I was able to understand why these two men did by the way the Author described their lives, their needs and their situations. It is brutal at times and it was hard for me to read through some of the heavier scenes, but what Zabo did was made sure that while that scene was playing out, one or both of the men’s thoughts were on display as well. I thought that was brilliant. It’s a little angsty when you’re inside Justin’s head, but there is a very good reason why so take that in stride. If you’re a fan of the genre, you’ll surely enjoy this read. But aside from the BDSM aspect there is a ton of love, respect and passion in the story as well. So even if you don’t normally read the genre, perhaps you’ll still like this story as I did. I highly recommend it.* I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review through http://mmgoodbookreviews.wordpress.com *

Wonderful and Very Hot By Marleen I received my copy from the publisher through NetGalleyI appear to find myself in the middle of a fabulous reading streak. Every single book I’ve picked up recently has been outstanding and very special. Just Business is no exception – quite the opposite in fact. Just Business gave me everything I could possibly ask for in a story, and then some. When I saw this book came with a recommendation on GoodReads from L.A. Witt I had a feeling I was about to start reading something special, but I had no idea how very special the experience would turn out to be.Justin and Eli *sighs*. Two men with pasts they would rather forget and memories they can’t stop from affecting their present. The moment they set eyes on each other a power struggle commences and the push and pull between them only gets stronger when Justin starts working for the company where Eli is the CFO. But a romance between colleagues is never a good idea. While Justin yearns to submit to Eli, the idea scares him as much as it excites him and Eli doesn’t do relationships – after all, he’s a despicable monster in his own eyes. When Eli and Justin do come together it is a thing of beauty. They fit together as if they’d been created for each other. But Eli reminds Justin too much of the man who nearly destroyed him in the past, and when the flashback gets too powerful, Justin is gone.I lost myself in this book. I fell for Justin as soon as he was introduced but Eli...Eli took my heart and played games with it. His inner torment, his love for Justin and his selflessness were both excruciating and a thing of beauty, especially because he can’t see himself as anything but a monster. As anybody who follows my reviews knows, I don’t usually do well with angsty reads – and boy is this book angsty. And I didn’t help myself at all when I had to go out exactly when I reached the angst-summit. I did my shopping worrying about Eli and Justin, wondering how they were going to fix everything that needed to be fixed. I only mention this because it is very unusual for me to live in the stories I’m in the middle of reading while I’m away from the book. The angst in this book worked for me because both men had good reasons for the struggles they were facing and because the balance between angst and togetherness was just about right (for me). I loved that I had no reason to doubt that these two men belonged together long before Eli and Justin came to the same conclusion, even while I worried about how it would all play out. It didn’t make me flinch any less when it all went wrong, but it gave me the courage necessary to continue until I reach their happy-ever-after.Just Business is also an incredibly hot book. Eli and Justin are beautiful together. The BDSM scenes they share are as intense and exciting as their love making is. The sex scenes in this book tell the reader as much about who Eli and Justin are as the rest of the story does. I loved how it was not ‘just’ about dominating and submitting – in those scenes as in the rest of the story it becomes perfectly clear there’s a lot more to these two men than what appears on the surface or even than they are giving themselves credit for. This is the second Take Over title and I haven’t read the first one yet. I can’t say that was an issue at all. While it is quite possible somebody who has already read the first title will get more out of this book than I did, I can’t say I ever felt as if I missed out on anything. Having said that, I do now feel the need to read Takeover in the not too distant future. If Just Business sets the standard, I’ll be in for another treat.

I started to stray from the the traditional M/F format when my library started offeringGay fiction. This book, however, transcends it label. The story is so rich and layered. I cared about these characters do much I was sad when the story ended. The sex scenes being well written and really hot was just icing on a yummy . I'm hoping this is not the end of the line for these characters. Zabo has created a world I want to keep visiting.
