5 of 5 people found the following review helpful. Enjoyed this book very much. By Susan Reynaud I loved this book, and I am eager to get the next one in the series. I read it on the plane coming and going on a trip this week. I like how Hanson set the stage with this book introducing Farr Gunn. The characters were likable and interesting. I look forward to what is going to happen with Farr and will enjoy reading his adventures I feel certain. The dialog seemed very real and appropriate for the day and age that the book takes place in. I clicked that there was "some violence", but it was very minor compared to what is oftentimes written today. This is one reason I love westerns, and I will definitely read this series if the next one is as good as the first one.

It starts out with a concern about the safety of the stagecoach drive. As it proceeds, the drivers find the station has been attacked and they begin to worry about how vulnerable they and the passengers are. Characters are well-defined, with some back story to the main players. Looking forward to more of these books.

Harrington Though I'm not much of a Western fan, this was a great way to introduce the hero of a future series. It set the foundation of relationships while establishing the influence of a tragedy on the personality of a future hero. I'm looking forward to the adventures of Farr Gunn.Some light copy editing will fix flow, clarity and readability.
