Great Book By Kindle Customer This is such a great book, that I look forward to going back and reading this story again, and now I am impatient to read the rest of the books in this series by this author. Dark writes erotic, tension filled and extremely descriptive scenes. This is a well written, creative and intriguing story about a young woman named Lacey, who finds herself mistaken for a birthday present and paid, submissive sex slave, while delivering a birthday cake as a favor to her best friend. The birthday boy is a rich, sexy, intense man, who is actually a famous author, yet hides his identity when he realizes that Lacey doesn't recognize him. At first he refuses to listen to her declaration of not being his gift, and by the time he's confronted with the actual "gift", all he desires is Lacey, and send the other, very angry woman, packing immediately. Lacey is a shy virgin because she feels far too "curvy" to be anything but fat. She is also an artist herself, though with her tiny apartment's rent having just been increased, she's had to get another job as a bartender to make ends meet. This mysterious, powerful man intrigues her, and even though she's terrified, Lacey decides to take him up on the offer, and money, to stay the week and find out about these amazing feelings he's inspired and everything she's evidently missed out on. The author throws into the mix, inventive, vivid characters, and interactions that make your pulse race and skin tingle. This book has seriously sexy leading characters and vibrant domination scenes. The author's brilliance is woven into all that goodness to make this a fantastic bdsm romance, and this series a "must-have"!!!! I didn't want to set it down....seriously. I was drawn in right away to the fantasy of being desired that desperately and by a hot, intelligent, rich, dominant man. I was immediately hooked!!! I didn't want to put it down, I was falling asleep over this book!!!!!!!! Lol

Sexy as hell By BlueLeila I received tis ARC in exchange for an honest review.Aubrey Dark knows how to make you glued to a book...when you begin to read you enter another world...you begin to live the life of the character...and you can't put it down!!!The characters are so real,interesting,multi-faced,fascinating,enthralling,sexy as hell!I definitely recognize myself in Lace,with her insecurities about her body,with her passion,with her curiosity,with her wanting to know...to explore...to feel strong emotions to the fullest without holding back.I fell in love with Jake,he's sexy and mysterious,domineering yet caring,pure of heart in a sort kind of way but with a darkness that makes him all the more sensual.You have to read this book and when you'll finished it you'll want to read the second and third part as soon as possible,believe me!!!

This just might be Aubrey Dark's best creation yet, and I can't wait to read the other parts. Lacey and Jake's story blew me away. It starts off with an interesting twist - an innocent job Lacey never expects for some extra cash quickly brings her into the billionaire's eye. Thinking she's his new play-thing, he goes berserk with need, and has her taken. Soon, inexperienced and desperate Lacey is pulled into his world, and the sex is smoking hot.This story is like all the best billionaire books put together. It's got the broody kink of Fifty Shades and the sensuality of HM Ward's Arrangement. The rapid fire serial approach reminds me of Deborah Bladon's best too. Five flaming gifted stars! Can't wait to see where this is going...

Geer The book was pretty good, but this definitely isn't a regular Minecraft diary. 2 things separate it, 1 it's interactive, which makes it really fun. And 2 (which parts it from a diary the most) is that it uses WAY too much "adult stuff". I am going to give examples now (thought you might want to know).The whole series has cuss words like "thank God" (notice I capitalized "God", Whenever people say God's name in anger as a cuss, they are taking his holy name in vain.) They also say words like "bastard." I found it horrifying that someone would write stuff like that! In THIS book they actualy went to a bar (to have a secret chat with a stranger) and had a page long discussion on how much each other drink. Yeah DRINK! In a kids book?! The author mentioned in the first book that "kiddies" would be reading this book.I don't think that anyone should say it's a kids book and still write it for adults, or at least teenagers.I wsh I could end on a happy note like most of my reviews, but the only thing left is the protagonist's behavior. Protagonist's are supposed to be likeable. but his behavior pretty much kills that. It's "Diary of a wimpy kid" I dont pull for Greg, I don't pull for MC bob (no really, he put his author name as the main character). Greg's a self-proclaimed "wimpy kid" but really is a bully. Bob is a self-proclaim Mercenary leader, but is a whiny jerk.That is all-The guy that starts with an S

OF COURSE WE DOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!I was actually wondering how you made it interactive. I knew that paperback interactive books say to turn to certain pages, but Amazon books don't really have page numbers so I was wondering how you would, so I was eager to read it......well duh, I should've remember that. It's the way you get the links in tables of contententententententententents (what?) To bring you to certain pages. So yeah. I really like the interactive, and I want you to make MORE!!!!

But I thought I would take a browse through it just to see what all the hype was about. This book was actually pretty fun and engaging! Not personally my taste in books, but it would definitely captivate a younger audience. This particular book was also well formatted and easy to follow. A fun read!

I feel like I have gone through a lot with these characters; shared their ups and downs. Felt their losses. This book made me feel like it was the end of a journey; but at the same time, hopeful, that the ending lent itself to an entirely new story line, and maybe even a new series all together (starring Mason, of course)

194 of 200 people found the following review helpful. A classic that is great fun By Dewaine James G.K. Chesterton was a writer with theological and philosophical leanings. He wrote several serious tombs as well as fiction. The Father Brown series is of course one of his fiction endeavors. If you like mysteries, lighthearted story telling or both, than you will enjoy this book. This Kindle download contains the entire collection of short stories that are the Father Brown Mysteries, and therefore is a bargain. Chesterton was a brilliant writer and thinker, and this is a great introduction to him.

Shockingly good By Bemused Prof Owning a Kindle has gotten me into re-reading 19th Century books, and I am often a bit surprised at how stilted they are in style, not quite what I remembered from my youth. I paid a few pennies for this book, still only 90 or so years old, and was shocked by how up to date it all sounded. Great mysteries and little plots. Of course, anyone who grew up on Agatha Christie knows how racist and anti-Semitic the educated British class could be in those days, and there are some pretty jarring notes here as well. But keeping in mind that I am old and retired, and these stories were written 20 or more years before I was born, I was fascinated, amused, and felt it was a great expenditure of less money than a pack of gum costs me today.

The problem was the included cd was scratched and had so much glue on it from being sealed in the back cover, that it was useless. A teen may be more likely to read it book had the cd worked. I didn't return though BECAUSE the BOOK is EXCELLENT and talks to teens without judgement.

It was a very fast read for me, I could not put it down once I started it. It was extremely suspenseful, but had wonderful elements of romance in it as well. Author Patricia Yager Delagrange has excellent skills in character development, and you'll definitely care about each of the characters, Jessee especially. This book would appeal to any reader who loves mystery, suspense or romance, or just great fiction in general. I am excited to read what this promising new author has coming out next.Tissue Warning"It was very interesting to read a story about a guy instead of how most are written about the woman.I just loved reading this story and couldn't put the book down. You know that.” – Serena Middleton, wife of Dr. Jessee BradfordSerena never wanted to be married. Never wanted to have a baby. But, she did both. Sophia is a beautiful child, and Serena seems to settle. She is painting, Jessee is working as a veterinarian in a 24-hour emergency animal hospital, and they are happy.Then one day Jessee comes home to an empty house. And neither the FBI nor private investigators can find Serena and Sophia. Kidnapping? Or did Serena simply run, taking Sophia with her? Jessee doesn’t know and, subject to panic attacks and severe depression he decides to leave Santa Monica and return to his home in Iowa to take over his grandfather’s veterinary practice.There, he learns to relax. To enjoy his grandparent’s company, and even finds someone to love. But then? A visit to a gallery changes everything. Is Jessee’s life destroyed? Or will all his dreams come true?There are things I liked about the story, and other things that didn’t quite work for me. The book it written in first person, which sometimes works, but in this case simply led to “telling not showing.” It made the story slow going, and I found myself flipping pages to get past the boring parts. Delagrange also devolves into the trite and corny much too heavily for my tastes. For example, there is an instance at the very end, involving Laura, that was just too ‘smarmy on steroids’ for me. It was OK, but not a book I will keep in my stash.I received Taken Away from the publisher in exchange for a realistic review. All thoughts are my own.

Eighteen months later. Jessee comes home early from work to surprise his wife. Here is where the nightmare begins; Serena and Sophia are nowhere to be found. All their belongings are still in the house, including her purse. Plus, the clothes in the dryer are still warm. The local police start their investigation and eventually the FBI is call in. A nationwide search begins, but nothing turns up it looks like they have vanished. The FBI investigators believe his wife, the only daughter of a wealthy philanthropist who never approved of their marriage, simply abandoned Jessee and took their child with no intention of returning.Patricia weaves a story that is rich in detail and emotion, it delivers a story with realistic situations and issues that occur in most everyday life. It has a powerful, compelling story that masterfully intertwines issues that occur in many real relationships: love, loss, betrayal, recovery, redemption, closure, second chances, and moving forward. While I enjoyed how the story unfolds throughout the book, the last parts of the story is full of enough drama, suspense, surprising twists and turns, and romance that makes it so hard to put down until you reach the satisfyingconclusion.This story will keep you wanting more of the story until you reach the final ending ad find the final details, which I will not share you can enjoy this awesome story one your own. By Edith Winters I have to admit, Charity annoyed me a little in the previous book because I was so sad for Hope and her situation. I won't reveal too much since you would have to read both books. However, after I read this book I loved that Charity was so relatable and so honest. Not to mention this book came with it's many ups and downs! I have loved every single book from Jenn Faulk thus far, with Beyond the Game as my all time favorite. Looking forward to many more to come :)

There are the usual elements: mystery, romance and humor. Plus painful honesty. The raw reality of being a pastor's wife, the trials of church politics and the difficulties of a Godly marriage.Because of her unique understanding of missions and pastoral life, Jenn Faulk manages to bare Charity's soul and dissect an honest marriage as only she can.I give this book 5 stars only because 10 wasn't an option!!!

I'm impressed with how quickly she gets them out, though I do wish they were a little longer :) No spoilers, but I appreciated how this book was about strengthening an existing relationship rather than a "will they, won't they?". There aren't enough chick-lit books that deal with the romance post-wedding.

The concept of this series and the covers are what made me want to give it a try.I'm happy i tried the first two issues instead of just the first one, because issue 2 is much better.This book is creepy and does a good job of conveying the sense of horror to the reader. Especially the ending.

I really enjoyed it. I will have to say that it needed editing but it didn't take away from the story. When I looked up about the author I was delighted to find she's a Scottish girl. I've always wanted to go to Scotland. The story gives the feel that it is told in a Scottish accent. I couldn't find any other books by Ms Haven but I hope she hurries and writes another. Don't let the 100 and something page count fool you, there's a lot of story packed in here. There was lots of action and I loved the world she created. After Heaven and Hell were created, vampires and werewolves were created and were to coexist together with humans. No pure blood demons or angels can come to Earth. The vampires try to protect humans. There are some that have let the bloodlust take over so they drain the humans. The vampires and werewolves don't like each other but they tolerate one another and work together to keep everything running smoothly and the gates of Heaven and Hell closed. There are three keys to the gates. These need to be kept out of the wrong hands at all cost. The story could have been a long one with lots more details but if you don't have much time to read or even if you do, you should purchase this. There is a synopsis at the end about the next book. I think it will be edited better. It sounds so good. I can't wait. I really liked the character and can't wait to see where this complex world is going.
