“Has the makings of a classic, will surely be on the small screen at some point, and I can’t wait to watch it when it gets there.” - Jeremy Garelick, Writer-Director of THE WEDDING RINGER Part Two of the serial conspiracy thriller that will shake America to its core. One month has passed since the bombing of the Supreme Court that claimed the lives of 124 people, including four of the Justices. On the hunt for the whereabouts of the fiancée he had thought killed in the blasts, Supreme Court Police officer Jason Lancaster has arrived in Detroit, a lawless wasteland policed by the grunts of a military contractor called Allied Armament Security Consultants. The answers Jason seeks may only be obtainable by somehow getting inside a closed-down hospital guarded by the mercenaries day and night. Meanwhile, back in Washington, the confirmation hearing of conservative Notre Dame law professor Cecilia Koh has gotten underway. How will former First Lady Rosemarie Irving handle the revelation that Professor Koh is being extorted by one of her students, threatening to reveal to the media that the Professor recently paid for her daughter’s abortion? Part legal potboiler, part HOUSE OF CARDS dealmaking drama, part 24-esque espionage cliffhanger, FOUR SEATS is an enthralling new entry to the conspiracy thriller tradition. OTHER REVIEWS: “Cooley delivers again. A riveting political thriller that is somehow educational and page-turning at the same time. I didn’t know I could care this much about the appointment of judges, but Cooley took me there.” - Dave Callaham, Screenwriter of GODZILLA and THE EXPENDABLES “With FOUR SEATS, Aaron Cooley has softly, slyly and deservedly taken his seat beside Parker, Child, DeMille and Grisham and in the process has introduced us to a protagonist with just enough flaw to be honorably relatable and just enough hero to be vastly readable.” – Patrick MacManus, Writer & Co-Executive Producer, Netflix’s MARCO POLO “Cooley writes with knowledge and skill about a shadowy world few truly understand… at times richly emotional, hilarious, and challenging… bears the hard weight of both a political and personal mystery that demands we all ultimately consider where we are, and what comes next.” - Eric Lodal, Creator/Executive Producer, TNT’s MURDER IN THE FIRST “Mr. Cooley has crafted a smart, tension-filled thriller reminiscent of John Grisham and Tom Clancy that exudes authenticity and kept me glued to the page. I was thoroughly riveted and found FOUR SEATS nearly impossible to put down.” - Lee Clay, Producer, NO GOOD DEED and DEMONIC

By Brielle Kennedy Let me just start by saying that part two of this six part series is nothing short of captivating. This fast-paced, intense political thriller takes it to the next level with the second installment as the protagonist Jason Lancaster makes additional discoveries about the terrorist attack that took place in the first book. Book two of the series—Martial Law—ups the intensity and espionage intrigue that the first book set the framework for.As additional circumstances are introduced, including a very current discussion of abortion laws wrapped in the ever-present political rhetoric and extortion threats, the themes from the first book continue to spin out of control, creating a delightfully dramatic experience for the reader. Martial Law is the perfect storm of political conspiracy and the righteous battle for truth. While the other facets of this book are incredibly consuming, I couldn't get enough of the frenzied story of Jason Lancaster. As he continued to unravel the facts of the terrorist attack that he found himself at the center of with a bullet wound and plenty of scores to settle, I found myself reading faster and faster.Reading as a man under pressure becomes a one-man investigative team, trying to single-handedly uncover the mystery of the terrorist attack that he thought had taken the life of his fiancée and over one hundred others.Shrouded in drama and the dark side of politics with plenty of action to spare, this addictive political cliffhanger is unforgettable and will have you ready for part three and beyond.

He told me I would love this political series and then went on to describe what happened in the first book. I took it upon myself to read this book the second in the series. He was definitely right. Four Seats is an amazing political thriller that centers around a two story plots that have the same cause. Jason Lancaster is in Detroit investigating the creation of bombs that rocked the Supreme Court in DC killing several justices. The second plot revolves around filling the empty Supreme Court seats. Aaron Cooley has managed to get all the sleaze of the DC political scene into a well written thriller.

Great Book Two Holds It's Own And Works To Increase Interest In Overall Series Story Line By CeeCee Not very often do you enjoy book two in a series as much if not a little more if I were totally honest. I'll tell you why I say maybe a little more. It's because Author Aaron Cooley did not sit on his glory and allow his principle character to play it safe and solid with no change. He risked expanding the character through his ability to create new situations and people for him to deal with, while you watch the conflict within him as he deals witht the new situations as his history from book one and it's loses continue to haunt him deeply.I do like the way we see a little more about him on a personal level what makes him tick and what motivates him to act in the way he does, quick and brutal. He is an empathetic character in this story just my opine and it was nice to see the consistency in his vulnerability. While the author didn't get bogged down in the poor pitiful me.This book was about survival of the fittest and dealing with baggage that is going to get unpacked by you or by someone else for you. I liked it and am really looking forward to three now that a relationship has begun to form with this character and me, how is that possible. LOL
