From the Author The basis for 3 Women Walk Into A Bar came from the idea that everyone Googles their own name for one reason or another. Of course, I had to take this a little bit farther. The noir-esque bits developed from my love of noir films, and the settings are all places I've been or lived in the past. The rest of it came from people I've met, stories I was told or things I've done. I'll let readers guess which is which.

By Joseph Souza, Author of Crime Thriller, NEED TO FIND YOU I picked this novel up three days ago and just finished it. The story is told in various POVs, but the central narrator is, Bill "Free Willy" Tedesco, a PI and ex male stripper. He's attempting to find out what happened to 3 women who died in a Syracuse Irish bar. And it's not what you think, especially considering the fact that there's a dead guy with a gun nearby.I love the way Sands pens this tale. Free Willy's narration has the old time feel of a Dashell Hammett novel. He's street and savvy with a sense of humor. For me, the best part of the book was his unique voice and his interactions with others.Then we get the history's of the women, and the mystery begins to unfold. I enjoyed going back in time and learning the histories of the victim. It added a complexity to the plot which made the novel that much richer. I really enjoyed the way Sands handled the loose ends and tied this novel up. She has a keen eye and ear for the way people speak, and provides wonderful insights about her characters. I highly recommend this mystery!

Fascinating protagonist By PL Linda Sands’ “3 Women Walk Into A Bar” is a murder-mystery that revolves around the peculiar deaths of three beautiful women…and the dead man with a gun beside them. The protagonist, Bill “Free Willly” Tedesco, is a PI with a very unique past (he was a stripper...). As Bill delves deeper into what happened that night, the situation grows more and more complex. Sands writes in first-person with a film-noir tone, really setting the stage for Bill’s witty, cynical, and often-funny voice. I’m a big mystery reader and was really caught off guard with the twists and turns of the plot. Excellent pacing. Sands has stormed into the mystery genre with this successful debut novel that is sure to delight mystery fans. Recommended!

By Amazon Customer The aspect of this book that I appreciated the most was the timber of the voice throughout definitely maintained that the feel of the old black and white detective movies that Sands referenced in her book. The salty understated jokes kept a wry smile on my lips the whole time. Great character development. Nicely constructed plot - though you have to be someone who can hold different plot lines in their head at the same time. Yup - this one's a darned good read.
