Dr. Carol Erb beautifully shares her life story, and you will see God's strength shining through, every step of the way. Dr. Erb had to make very difficult decisions in her life path. Her circumstances weren't easy, but she clung to a God who knows her past, present and future, and her story is an encouraging one. I absolutely recommend this book and her expertise, for I've seen it is clever and wise. Carol and I have benefited of some great teaching as we have acquired Counseling degrees at same school. What is so amazing about her story is how Carol talks or writes about God- how personal He is- He cares and takes care of His children. If He has made a way for her, He can make a way for anyone who puts his or her trust in Him in surprising circumstances. Through it all, Dr. Erb experiences His Love for her, which it is true. He will never leave nor forsake you. He knows the plans He has for you... in a warped and crooked generation, you can shine like a star. I believe I see this in her life.

Her experience was so similar to mine that she would have me laughing at the sarcasm that runs through your mind during the most horrific moments of initially finding out about the infidelity....and then I found myself choking back the tears as the pain of dreams lost flooded a young woman's heart and then as she learns to navigate through a life so differently than what she had planned...ultimately she conquered so much as she trusted God and her story is definitely one of Restoration!I also experienced the same thing with the church not being equipped to help those trying to save a marriage in crisis....so I am thankful that there are those like Carol and Walt who are burdened to help those who are in that situation today.If you need a fresh reminder that Jesus is all you need, then this book is a must read for you!

A Story of Hope for Everyone By Chandler McLean Though Carol's story will certainly be a source of encouragement for those who have suffered through a divorce, it is a book for married and single people as well. As a single woman, I found it to be a useful cautionary tale that reminds us that relationships must be built on honesty and trust.While reading, I felt apprehension at the daunting task of making wise relationship choices, yet hopeful and confident that God has a plan for my life. I really connected with the main theme, which is the importance of trusting God and taking risks, rather than staying mired in fear.Enveloped is such an engaging story and a quick read that anyone would enjoy it. I actually finished it in one day! The book clearly traces Carol's journey from start to finish. In addition to its essential messages about faith and relationships, the story details Carol's exciting travels and life abroad.
