Blue is getting a little sister and then when she is born, he helps to take care of her, learning what it means to be a bog brother. I love that this story is told in rhyme, which makes it perfect to read before bedtime and something that will engage younger children. But besides being a cute book, this one has a nice moral, or shows what older siblings should do for their younger ones.The pictures are beautiful, bright and colorful.My only real complaint is that the images are so small in the kindle version. I would love it if they actually took up the whole screen and had the text embedded in them. But other than that, this is a good book.

Valuable Lessons for Siblings By Yvonne McDonald This is an adorable story that can teach an older sibling how to behave towards an expected addition and how to behave with a younger sibling. The story has two parts: before and after the birth. This allows the reader (listener) to see that Blue anticipates the arrival and the role he will play and that he does, indeed, perform as he said he would. These are lessons in consistency, honesty, and responsibility. The rhyme moves the story forward and invites the reader (and listener) to relax and enjoy the family. I think that kids will outgrow the story before they grow tired of it.

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Garmon is good--very good! By Zend Lakdavala Ken Burns would have included some of this book's stories in his PBS Civil War series. This is a real story of a real person who spent the final two years of his life as a Confederate soldier. It personalizes the war. It gives the reader close, intimate involvement with a young man who finds himself in a war that he didn't choose. Civil War historians and those who are interested in stories about the Civil War will find some good things to read about in this book. I wish the book had been longer and had gone into even more detail, but what is included is interesting and sometimes emotional. I like the use of personal letters and journal entries to carry the story. The unstated, unemotional nature of the entire story makes it more moving. I think any reader -- not just someone who is interested in the Civil War -- would like this as a true story that has good insights into human nature, and how it must have been for a young man to experience the horrors of war just as he was becoming an adult. He is a character who will be remembered. The author does a good job of sticking with a true narrative, although he embellishes some of the action to give the reader a feeling of having been there. I hope to see more books by this author. This is a big hit for me, and it is well worth the price.

I appreciated how he handled the spiritual part and tied the book in with its Scriptural title. "Sister Teresa" was precious and was so effective in drawing people to God's Word, the Bible, and thus to our Savior. He did some wise explaining of some hard Scriptures to understand in a brief way. The bad guy role was handled perfectly - obsessed to the very end with getting rid of George; to the cost of his own life. His idea/opinion regarding the Civil War, to me, were right on and stated concisely. We knew from the beginning that George had a short life, but couldn't imagine how the author would depict the end of his life. I will be so glad to recommend this book to all my reader friends and family. I consider it a 5 star book!!

The development of the Characters was superb, making you feel that you actually knew them. It also appeared that the book is historically correct which in itself must have taken days to research. This was one of those books which you don't want to put down or to end. I am anxiously awaiting the author's next work, it will be difficult task to surpass this effort. I am sorry that it appears that this book will not lead into a series.

She is a curvy girl with brains and heart. The three girls decide to have a girls' night and end up in a biker bar. Jaycee stands up to one of the bikers, when he insults her and her friends. Before he can hit Jaycee, two bikers step in to control the situation. Steel and Onyx are the President and Vice President of the Demon Rebels MC. They have been friends and brothers since they were young. These two always have each other's back. Steel is the strong, silent type. Onyx is comfortable doing the talking for Steel and himself. Steel and Onyx find Jaycee, with all her curves, very sexy. They tell Jaycee to only come back to the bar if she is prepared to be with both of them (be a bunny). After dreaming about the two sexy bikers, Jaycee does go back to the bar and has a wild night with them. After their night together, Steel, Onyx and Jaycee can't stop thinking about each other or the night that they spend together. Jaycee discovers later that she has a stalker. When the stalker becomes more dangerous, she decides to go to Steel and Onyx for help. The two bikers do help her, even while they are dealing with their own problems (Demon Rebels). The stalker was not who you would like it would be, at least for me. This book does have happily ever after. Some of my favorite parts are when Jaycee goes off on a girl who is hitting on Onyx and the ending scene in the clubhouse. I hope that there are more books to come with story of Jaycee's friends and the other bikers. My favorite quotes is "To love and be loved back is ... God if we could bottle this feeling right now we'd make millions." (actually it is Jaycee's thought). This is a great menage book with some alpha males and a female with likes to be in control as well. Jaycee is a feisty, independent woman, who loves the attention of two smoking hot bikers. I loved how all the characters had their own insecurities and vulnerability, but they had their own strengths too. This is the first book by Rayne O'Gara that I have read, but I am definitely looking forward to reading the author's other books.Characters = 5 starsStory / Plot = 5 starsMenage = Yes (mfm)Heat / Sexy / Hotness = 5 stars, Yum!Recommend To Others = YesSuspense / Mystery = 4 starsAlpha Male = 5 stars, This one has two.Heroine / Female Lead Character = 5 stars, She is curvy girl with attitude and who can throw a punch. Jaycee curvy girls out looking for a good time with some friends, little did she know she would get.then she bargained for. She caught the attention of 2 hot bikers. Now Steele and Onyx are the Prez and Vp of Demon Rebels MC. and Jay had gotten their attention. Funny haliurous, this book has it all. You will be hooked from the first go. But there are twist and turns and a.crazy stalker, but you'll enjoy the ride!!!!

If you are looking for hot hot romance and laughter look no farther. I am never disappointed in her books. Love the relationship between Jay Steel and Onyx. The poor men do try and boss her around but boy she is snarky. Loved it. Hope there are 2 more books to follow. Hint hint. No spoilers here.

By Nicole McCurdy Nicole @ Nic's Novel Idea I've been with this series from the very beginning with each book bringing something fresh and captivating with it and although technically Jericho isn't a brother of the Barringer's as such, he still certainly deserved to have his story told and told well.After his original club and home disbanded when the president turned into a homicidal maniac Jericho was cast adrift for a while living the nomad life as a biker, in this magnificent next instalment he seems to uncover that one intangible thing he never knew he needed- love, loyalty and a sense of permanence and that comes in the form of Roxie, our entirely selfless, suffering-in-silence heroine and the one consistency with Tess is you can be one hundred percent certain her characters are well structured, multi-faceted with immense substance and style. Jericho has this incredible sweet and loyal side to his dark and violent personality that only Roxie in her infinite intelligence and beauty and courage can bring out of him, the same as Roxie was resigned to living a life of pain and indifference before Jericho showed her what a life of love and happiness could be like."Are you considering the job?""Nope, now you've got me curious to see what the a*****e's up to. As always marvellous writing from Tess who knows her characters as though they were part of reality, she gives them an authentic voice whilst bringing the drama and violence to the storyline ensuring you can't put the book down again until you've reached the end.

By Loraine Oliver I received an ARC of Jericho by Tess Oliver in exchange for an honest review.Jericho is the last book in The Barringer Brothers series and like the rest, it did not disappoint! Jericho is now the president of the Bedlam Motorcycle Club, having become president after Draygon Sharpe died. He is very young, and really did not want the title, but since his father was part of the club and he was raised in the club he decides to go ahead and become president. After all the mess and terrible things Draygon Sharpe did to a lot of the members, including his own granddaughter, Jericho decides to change the way the club operates and wants to make money in a legal way, and leave all the past behind. This causes him to meet Trace Gamble, a man who owns a lot of casinos and needs protection and it seems all legitimate. However from the moment they get there it does not take long to find out that Trace is as dishonest as they come, and wants Jericho and his club for a whole different reason! And Trace does not care if they live through the job or not!Roxie, Trace's girlfriend finds herself really attracted to Jericho but is afraid to let him in as everything is not as it seems, and she does not want him to be a victim of Trace's wrath, and she can't afford for Trace to get angry with her either, she has her whole family and their safety to worry about so she feels terrified and without any hope for the future.Jericho sees her however and he wants her and he sees far more than she realizes, and promises her that he will take care of her and not let her suffer the consequences of leaving Trace behind! Jericho from the moment he sees her somehow knows this is going to be the woman he wants for all time.As with all of Tess's books, the plot is amazing, leaving you sitting there from chapter to chapter wondering "how did that happen", or "oh my gosh I did not see this coming at all", and this is what makes her books so good, not being able to know or predict what is going to happen. All of her characters are well developed, and her characters have wonderful traits which make you love or hate them. There is always a lot of sexual angst, emotional angst and so much more.Although you can read Jericho as a standalone, you will get so much more out of this book if you read the preceding books in this series; Gage, Cash, and Seth, as a lot of the characters are seen from one book to the next, and this is also a spin off of the Rainshadow Series.Watch how Jericho takes care of business his way and puts a satisfying end to this wonderful series! I gave this book 5***** stars and can't wait for more by this wonderful author. Thanks to Tess Oliver for always writing great books!

But.... At the same time I want to savor it. I've been with this series since the beginning. I fell in love with all the characters. I loved all their stories.But Jericho has had my heart from day one. I couldn't wait for his story. And now that it's finally here...I don't want this series to end!!... I'm going to miss everyone!!Jericho really stepped up when he became president for the Bedlam's MC. Finally having Dreygon gone along with some of the old timers. Jericho wanted a better life for his club.So... Instead of following Dreygon past. And how he ran his club.Jericho set is own path and his guys followed him.We saw a different side of Jericho in this book. Now that he's the president. He's not so young and carefree like he was in the other books. But his playfulness comes out here and there.I'm not going to lie... I was a little disappointed that Kristina wasn't the one for Jericho. I really liked her and I thought they had a thing together. Don't get me wrong. I liked Roxie.But.... I just thought Kristina would be "the one".Roxie...She put her family first & herself second. That's why she stayed in a messed up relationship with a guy she hated! To safe her brother. She never thought she would get her life back. She didn't see a way out of it.So when Jericho walked into her life. She finally started to see the light at the end of the tunnel.Jericho gave her the strength and power to take risks and try to bring the power back in her hands. And with Jericho's help.... She able to.I'm happy we finally got Jericho's story... But also sad it's the last story in the Barringers Brothers Series. I'm so happy that everyone got their HEA.I'm so excited to see whats to come from Tess Oliver. I can honestly say that she is my go to author. I really like all her books. Her writing flows perfectly.And as a reader what more can you ask for.Would I read more books by this author... YES! I would.Would I recommend this book to other people... YES! I would!

By elle *ARC kindly provided by the author in axchange for an honest review.*I'm not a big fan of established couples, especially when it takes a whole series for them to get their HEA. BUT I'm definately hooked on this one.This book picks up six weeks after the end of Doubleback. Now, if you think that Jude and Rowan are in their honeymoon period, think again. They still haven't admited their feelings, neither of them has let his guard down and it is pretty clear that they still don't know each other all that well. And this is my only niggle with this story.There is a serious lack of communication between these guys. They both acknowledge that there are imortant issues that need to be addressed but they just don't want to or are afraid to discuss them. And every time someone finds the courage to start a conversation, it all stops because of an external cause.The mystery plays a big part in this book too. Rowan's stepbrother is missing, so he returns to his hometown to help find him. Despite their relationship problems, Jude is there, with him, every step of the way. IMO the author really knows how to write mystery. Not the kind that makes you want to bang your head on the wall, but the kind that keeps you interested and invested to the story.I also loved that we are inside Rowan's head here. In book one, he was a bit of a mystery, not only for me but for Jude too. Now that we got to know him, I understand him better.Despite the communication issues, Jude and Rowan have an amazing connection. Their chemistry is off the charts and the sex scorching hot. And he has a filthy mouth on him.Overall, this is a great sequel and a very engaging story. I can't wait to read more of them!Recommended!

It was nice to see some things from Rowan's point of view since the other book was entirely fromI really enjoyed this book; especially because you got to see some of Rowan's point of view. The other book was told completely from Jude's perspective and I missed seeing into Rowan's head; especially when it seemed he was being a jerk.There were some good misdirections and twists in the book. I caught myself thinking, yep-he did it-several times(and by the way I was never right).I like the two men together but I often want to hit each of them up side the head and yell at them to just sit down and talk for the love of god. Each man is so afraid of getting hurt again that they each circle their emotional wagons and keep the other man from seeing the truth of their feelings. Therefore, neither man wants to open up to the other and the cycle continues. Also, on Rowan's end, he doesn't quite seem to know how to be openly gay and hurts Jude by this failure.If you read Doubleback, you will definitely enjoy this book but you really need to read Doubleback first. I would recommend this book.

Elmer For full disclosure, I will note I beta read this book for Ms. Ford and also got a free ARC copy.Ms. Ford manages to pack a lot of emotion and story into a few words -- I particularly like her female characters in her books and how they're not just adjuncts of the males. I particularly like Kristy and her relationship to Jude and Meg's continual marketing efforts! I felt Sunny's pain dealing with Shane and could easily envision the man-hunk that Ken was! I like her choice of words, such as "collection of useless hay-eaters" and also "a sexy Mr. Gorton" fisherman.Why 4 stars and not 5?1. I wish Ro would have told Harlan to refer to Jude as "his gentleman friend" - he considered it, but didn't do it (the coward!)2. I thought the excuse of why Harlan didn't mention his interaction with Shane's girlfriend as being too flimsy to be believable. I didn't really connect with Harlan at all, to be honest.3. Too much perfect sex for me in the limited number of pages -- I prefer witty dialog to the sex (although I may be in the minority of readers here)
