Emily is a final year criminology student at university whose life on campus is starting to get rough and rocky. She’s having reoccurring nightmares about the presence of spirits in the university library. The mystery deepens when an unexpected package of criminology and necromancy books arrives at her dorm room door. The beautifully bound criminology books are a nice surprise, but the strange books on the spirit world and necromancy make Emily uneasy. Who sent this bizarre present? And what do they want with her? On top of this, Emily has to deal with the mysterious disappearance of her roommate Grace, as well as strange occurrences at the university library. Thinking that all this can’t be a coincidence Emily joins forces with new friend Jamie and starts her own investigation around campus. Each person she talks to only serves to present more questions instead of answers. Where is Grace and why did she leave at the beginning of the semester? Are the rumors true about ghosts in the university library? Is there a connection between Emily’s strange dreams and the stack of necromancy books that were mysteriously delivered to her door? Who is the green-eyed woman in the library and what does she want? A combination of mystery, dark fantasy and supernatural thriller, ‘The Dark’ delves into the murky depths of the spirit world, exploring the strange and the just plain bizarre. When Emily’s previously normal life gets this dark, how will she ever find her way back to the light?

The characters are perfect and the story has its own unique style of entertaining readers. Emily, the main character is just a student, yet she possesses the perseverance and bravery. Moss has perfectly chosen the great characters. The story is written very well and it doesn’t bore me. It is easy to understand and I think this book should be recommended for students especially those under the Criminology program.

From the New York Times bestselling author of the Ethan Frost novels—Ruined, Addicted, and Exposed—comes the sultry tale of a young woman searching for a bit of control . . . and the powerful new boss who makes her go wild. Originally released as a five-part serial, this eBook bundle collects the complete saga from beginning to end: a sizzling affair loaded with desire, seduction, betrayal, and dark romance.   My name is Aria Winston. I’ve fought desperately to escape the seedy underbelly of Las Vegas. Now I’m on my own, in control of my own life and my own destiny . . . just the way I like it. Until Sebastian Caine changes everything.   Working as a cocktail waitress at one of Vegas’s hottest five-star casinos means putting up with a ton of bad behavior from the big spenders. But it pays the bills—and that’s all that matters to Aria, who needs every last dollar to escape from her father’s destructive grasp and the brutal man he expects her to marry. But when she lashes out against a billionaire who won’t take no for an answer, she nearly loses everything—until Sebastian steps in. The owner’s son and handpicked successor, Sebastian is dark, sexy, and kinder than any rich man should be. And when he apologizes and offers to keep her job safe, Aria can’t help the way her body reacts to his. Suddenly her job, and the security it brings her, isn’t the only thing Aria wants.   Play Me is intended for mature audiences.   Praise for Play Me   “The chemistry between Sebastian and Aria makes for a hot read. . . . Readers will be compelled to follow their journey together, hoping this pair will ultimately find trust and redemption.”—Library Journal   “I love Tracy Wolff's writing style. . . . The characters were believable, the sexual tension and their chemistry was amazing, and the overall story and plot was compelling.”—(un)Conventional Bookviews   “Tracy does an excellent job of making these characters feel real and helping the reader connect. . . . The chemistry is still smoking hot and sexy as ever with these two.”—Summer’s Book Blog   “I loved both of the characters and can easily see myself getting sucked in the further I get along.”—Love Between the Sheets

7 of 7 people found the following review helpful. Scoot over, FSoG. There's a new type of kink in town. By Rhea @ Rhea's Neon Journal I have to admit, I would have never picked up this book on my own. The Play Me Series is a part of the Ethan Frost series (although it can be read as a standalone) and while I was debating with myself about what exactly I should do about these books, I saw some spectacular reviews for the Ethan Frost books over at Goodreads. And so, I’ve read Play Me only and only because of (Goodreads) peer pressure. And I’m so glad I decided to read these because I would have been seriously missing out on some quality goodness. MISSING OUT. Because, these books are tons of awesome.Aria Winston was my favourite of the two main characters. She was brave and strong and stood up for what was right at the cost of losing her job…especially when she was living hand-to-mouth as it was. But what was more fantastic to see about her is that she was fiercely independent and it was almost like her thought processes were often in sync with my own! It was awesome and awesome!Sebastian Caine was, in my opinion, the perfect counterpart to Aria. Where she was crazy when there was something she wanted, he was level-headed. Where she often thought with her heart, he showed her reason. And might I say, this guy had a real heart of gold. No matter the philanthropist side of him, he was a genuinely good guy who made everyone’s problems his own and went out of his way to support people. In a literary BDSM world (sadly) dominated by the likes of FSoG, Play Me manages to bring all the kinky and hot that makes BDSM exciting, and show readers just how sexy it can be when done right. The book is written tastefully and contrary to my early expectations from the book, it wasn’t all sex. There is a story, and two fantastic characters, and trust you me, there is are many surprising twists and turns in the series. The end is entirely dependent on you. The series ends well, (albeit a bit anticlimactically) but if you really want to continue reading Aria and Sebastian’s story, and whether or not the bad guys are brought to justice, then I’d suggest you pick up the Ethan Frost books ASAP, especially for the Aria-Sebastian cameo in Exposed (Ethan Frost #4). I know I will.I was provided a free ecopy of this book in exchange of an honest review. This did not in any way, however, influence the content of this review.

4 of 4 people found the following review helpful. Klaire's Kollection By Klaire's Kollection Gifted for an honest review – Overall probably 4 star seriesPlay Me #1 – Wild – 4 starsAs always with the beginning of a series the author is giving you the characters and some background so you can form your opinion of them going further into the story. I liked what I read here, I always enjoy a casino backdrop and Tracy had her descriptions down really well here. I really liked her female lead Aria but it was quite clear from the onset that she was hiding something. This continues through the subsequent books and ends up a slow reveal with a climactic conclusion. In this novella I found I was not overly endeared to the male lead Sebastian. He too has secrets I’m guessing.Their meeting is an unconventional one, but I liked that it was different. The chemistry between them leaps off the pages and the reader definitely gets that connection between them. Tracy did a grand job of immersing the reader into a fast paced beginning; you can’t help but want more. I really wanted to see where this was going and what comes to unfold.Play Me #2 – Hot – 3 1/2 starsWe are picking up straight where we left off, which is always a bonus in a series, there are no missing pieces that the reader has to guess about. This one is just as hot and steamy as the last as Aria and Sebastian start a tentative relationship. It feels a little confusing, what do they really want with each other? You get the stirrings of a dominant man in Sebastian but I think there’s a bit more here than the reader is led to believe. I think this book focuses more on the sexual exploits and the getting to know each other rather than anything else and Tracy ramps up that character development a bit so the reader sees a bit more.Again, very enjoyable and there’s still that compulsion to continue reading and see where this is going. I had a little issue with the use of Subspace etc. in this instalment though; I felt it was overly and possibly incorrectly used. Another quick read though.Play Me #3 – Hard – 4 starsI think here we see the beginning of seriousness as Sebastian and Aria really start falling for each other in this, and now a few hard plots are coming into play. It’s any one’s guess where it’s going. Sebastian must confront some of his demons with the realisation that Aria lives on the doorstep of one of his secrets. I wasn’t overly convinced with this plot line but it made a certain amount of sense and the reader understands a little more the dynamics of his relationship with his father. Aria’s slowly uncovering her history too.Ethan Frost makes an appearance here for the first time and somehow ties into Sebastian and arias storyline. Now I have a huge gripe about this but that will come in my review for #5. To say I wasn’t happy is a total understatement. However I do love when an author intertwines characters from other books. There’s a big fat OMG at the end of this…again, I have a compulsion to continue.Play Me #4 – Real – 4 starsThis kicked up in gear for me, more of an emotional feel to it whilst Sebastian and aria lay it all out and reveal their histories to each other. It’s ugly but beautiful all at the same time and there is a realisation between them that they have something special. By this point I’m a Sebastian fan, he has all those swoon worthy traits that us women just roll over for. To see him hurting that way…it’s not good and it pulls at you. This 4th book gives the whole story a really decent bit of depth that I felt was lacking previously. Scorching hot sex scenes again, honestly it’s set your panties on fire kind of stuff! But it’s the falling away of control that had me all heady over this one, Sebastian’s onion being peeled so to speak as he lays it out on the line and opens himself up for Aria. There’s certain sadness in that which Tracy wrote so beautifully. Eagerly wanting the conclusion.Play Me #5 – Right - 3 starsPerfect conclusion? No, hell no! This really, really got my goat. Don’t get me wrong the conclusion is all good and well. We find Sebastian kicking himself and Aria sulking, having made the mistake of walking away. She’s miserable. Sebastian doesn’t take it lying down and comes at her all guns blazing. I really liked the moment with his father, I felt it was an appropriate part of the story but at the same time it felt like too little too late kind of thing. But it spurred Sebastian so I guess it was right. This book is written just as well as the rest until we get to the end….Now, the bit that really frustrated me and makes me give this a 3 rating is the way in which it ended. Yes, their relationship and being together is all packaged up nice and neatly. But…there is far more to this story. I had wondered if the appearance of Ethan Frost was for a reason and my word was it ever. I don’t like this way of tying up loose ends, in order to get the rest of this story you need to go and read Ethan’s third book. In order to read the third book you need to read the two before as they are connected. Now I don’t think this is very fair. Like I said I think I got an “almost” conclusion here and that did not sit well with me I’m afraid.Overall I’d give this entire series a 4 star rating. It’s worth reading, and the instalments are quick to pick up and put down. Recommended, perhaps you won’t feel like me at the end.

2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Play Me: The Complete Story By Sarah (Feeling Fictional) 3.5 starsThis story was originally released as a 5 part serialized novel (Play Me Wild, Play Me Hot, Play Me Hard, Play Me Real and Play Me Right) but has since been released as a bind up called Play Me: The Complete Story. Although I read this in instalments I'm posting a single review for the entire book. This story works as a complete stand alone but it does feature a cameo appearance from Ethan Frost who has his own series.Aria has left her family and her controlling father behind her and is struggling to make ends meet working as a cocktail waitress in a local casino. When she loses her temper with one of the casino's big spenders who was getting a little too rough she knows she's blown it and is sure to lose her job but she hadn't counted on the new boss. Sebastian never intended to take over his father's casino but when he is called in run the show after his father suffers a heart attack he quickly realises that things have got to change. He won't tolerate his staff being treated poorly no matter who the client is and he's determined to shake things up a bit. The connection between Aria and Sebastian is instant and intense but will Aria risk everything by sleeping with the boss? One thing I can say for sure about Play Me is that it's hot as hell, Sebastian is a delicious Dom who knows exactly what he wants and he's not used to being denied. The sex scenes in this story are absolutely scorching and it was very, very easy to see why Aria would fall under Sebastian's spell, I'd certainly find him impossible to resist! This is only the second book I've read by Tracy Wolff but it definitely won't be the last, in fact after seeing the cameo from Ethan Frost I'm planning on diving into his series very soon.As much as I loved the chemistry between Sebastian and Aria I did feel things moved far too quickly between them. I guess that this is probably because of the serialised format - you have to hook readers into the relationship very quickly and keep them there to make sure they want to continue reading. I just think it could have been so much better if we'd been made to wait for the characters to act on their intense attraction, I think as it was everything happened so fast that I struggled to believe it. This was especially true when you learn more about Aria's background, I don't think there is any way that someone who has been through what she had would be so quick to jump into an affair with a man in such a position of power over her. It wasn't even the speed of them getting down to it that I had an issue with (although I think that was fast too!) but within a week of meeting they were head over heels in love and thinking of marriage and I didn't feel like they'd taken enough time getting to know each other outside of the bedroom.I may have had an issue with the speed of their relationship but I still really enjoyed their story, I love the author's writing style and I would pick up another book about these characters if the author decided to write one. In the meantime I'll definitely be devouring the Ethan Frost series and keeping an eye out to see if Sebastian and Aria make an appearance in there too.

Got me using all kind of acronyms!OMG because she keeps interlocking and weaving in little details from other favorite books into this one flawlessly. Everything fits and makes sense. Her gift of positioning characters from Money & Montana to this book is brilliant and believable. Legend's position in Elite's life?.... Who'd of thunk it!WTF for all the secrets revealed and twists that the reader never sees coming. Looks like Billz's time is up. I wanna kill him myself.SMDH because here I am again about to stalk her for Part 3.This author gets better and better with every work. Kudos to the editor as errors were minimal if existent at all. I will say that this has secured Chrissy J a top spot as one of my favorite authors and to knock her off that position, one would need to go hard or stay home.... FR FR!

This is not a book that I would read again not even sure if I would read the next installment. I'm not sure what really threw me off with this one because as I stated its wasn't bad there was maybe to much going on and then the whole everyone's connected to each other theme that I don't find realistic.

Then on the day of the wedding they were going for revenge, but for what not sure. Can't wait to see what will happen in the next book in the series.

Reading this collection is hot and steamy By Erika Daman I liked this collection of books, I thought the story was interesting and in the collection it is steamy as hell. I didn't like how it was chopped up into this mini books. This would be better as one book. It lost a star because of the choppiness.

And tells a girl she needs to warm up, she's not a freaking car. For twins who are suppose to be smart, they are not winning any brownie points with me.

Imagine what you could achieve if you could only clear your mind

The Little Book of Clarity shows you how to clear your head and get things done. Based on bestselling book, Clarity, this new edition has been distilled to the essentials, getting right to the point. With no vague theory or superfluous anecdotes, this book gets you right to work reducing stress and boosting productivity by uncovering your mind's in-built "self-clearing" capacity. As you begin to understand the concept of innate thinking, the benefits will start emerging in every corner of your life. As you think less, you'll win more — at work, at home, and at the game of life as a whole. You'll rid your mind of clutter for good as you focus on what matters, and finally free up the time you need to pursue your dreams.

Life's constant bombardment of "to-do" and "urgent" pushes your own priorities clear off the radar. Before you know it, you're always busy, but not getting very much accomplished. Personal goals fall by the wayside as you struggle just to keep up with day-to-day life. This book shows you how to cut the noise and clear the fog, and start working on what matters to you.

  • Harness the power of insight and principles
  • Discover your true identity and innate wisdom
  • Build better relationships and stronger connections
  • Discard toxic goals and pursue authentic desires

Clarity is the mind's natural state, a state to which it will always return if given the chance. Although it's evident in children, most adults have had this ability conditioned out of them by our "go-go-go" society, leaving them mentally muddy, stressed, and ineffectual. The Little Book of Clarity helps you erase that conditioning and gain the peace of mind to live a life you love — permanently.

19 of 20 people found the following review helpful. You're better off reading Sydney Banks directly By Adult Reader in Calgary Jamie Smart is an adherent of the so-called "Three Principles". He is a good speaker and coach, and it took courage and integrity for him to drop NLP in favor of this new paradigm once he came to believe it was superior. The trouble with this book is that so much of it is just selling the benefits of "Clarity" (Smart's productized version of the Three Principles) rather than really providing text to show people the truth that our human experience is created in the mind. It's annoying that the three principles folks continually claim ownership of the observation that our experience of life is created in thought. Smart repeatedly states in Clarity that this understanding is new to humanity. Actually the notion is thousands of years old. It is core to Eastern spirituality and many branches of Western philosophy and science. See Emerson's essay "Idealism", which talks at length about the impossibility of knowing what is really "out there" since we can only be aware of our mind. Even Emerson way back in the 1800s was referring to ancient philosophical traditions. Or consider this very typical Buddhist commentary:"Visual forms, sounds, scents, tastes, and sensations—their essence is naturally empty. Where do they occur? They occur in our mind. They appear in the nature of the mind. They seem to be external, but they cannot actually be established outside the mind in any way. There is no other thing that we can point to that does not appear to the mind. For that reason, appearances are mind."(That commentary by the way is based on a text written in c. 1117)So while I agree this notion isn't common knowledge among the public it is NOT new. Even among people who "know" it, it is a hard realization to hold onto day to day.Smart's book is not the best place to go if you want to free yourself from thought. Sydney Banks' original material is much better - particularly his recorded lectures and "The Missing Link". Elsie Spittle's work is excellent though both have a new agey feel that may put people off. Smart's book does have the advantage that it avoids this. Also of course Buddhism has been all over this for thousands of years so the many Western interpreters of this ancient wisdom would be a good start. All of the Three Principles adherents whose books I have read share a belief that theirs is the One True Path and that everything else is BS. Smart implies as much in this book, obliquely comparing NLP, cognitive behavioral therapy, positive thinking, and even mindfulness meditation and Yoga to alcoholism. This POV gives 3Pers a "culty" feel that sets of alarm bells in me. For what it's worth and I know this is outside the scope of a book review but don't let yourself get pulled into their fundamentalist worldview. Keep yourself open. You may get something out of Jamie Smart's book. The Three Principles movement has packaged ancient wisdom into a very simple and coherent set of concepts (they would deny they are "concepts"). But, I think there are better places to get the same thing.

When I first discovered the 3 Principles two years ago (spurred by the very sexy title "Do Nothing" by Damian Mark Smyth), I started buying every book I could find on the topic and quickly found Jamie's first book "Clarity." I like Jamie's voice and found the book intriguing, but felt it starting to ramble and gave up on it twice before I finally finished it. Still, I liked the book and would have given it a 4 out of 5.This "Little" book hits all the right buttons for me, flows well and reads quickly (which for me means I will re-read it). I also especially like the 3rd part of the book. I will happily recommend and even give this book to friends and clients.

Here’s a look inside The Little Book of Clarity with Jamie Smart By Wade Danielson In his book Smart expands on his original book Clarity and provides you with new, powerful ways to improve your productivity, eliminate stress, and master the art of innate thinking. The goal of the book is to help you create more relationships, meet personal goals, pinpoint negative goals, and train your brain to start prioritizing your day-to-day life more clearly. For your convenience, I had Jamie Smart on my podcast, The Entrepreneurs Library, to give a deep dive on The Little Book of Clarity. With Jamie’s experience he gives amazing insight on how to train your brain to be a focused machine. If you would like to get a more in-depth look from the author himself check out episode 197 at theELpodcast[dot]com/books or you can find the show on iTunes.
