By Charity Rowell-Stansbury I was given an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.Think Happy Club: Friendship is filled with lessons about the meaning of friendship for children, and touching reminders of what friendship is for adults. Saucer and Snoke manage to convey the meaning of true friendship with straightforward and simple terms paired with cute and whimsical illustrations that kids can relate to.There are a few details in the book that I really enjoyed: first, the book is handwritten. This not only gives the book a personal touch, but it also provokes a sense of timelessness. Second, I enjoyed the story behind the book. Not only do readers find out at how Saucer's and Snoke's collaboration began, but we also learn that the book was written on a tablet. Third, I liked how the illustrations supported what was being said in a fun and playful manner.Think Happy Club: Friendship is as inspirational as Chicken Soup for the Soul and as touching as Beatrix Potter's Peter Rabbit. It is a charming, beautiful, and timeless book that will surely end up being a classic for both children and adults.

Siebert I read the "Think Happy Club" this morning (with my dog pals, Daph (the little black dog in the accompanying pic) and her sister, Lucy Lu) as part of my newly adopted "set a happy/upbeat tone for the day" ritual. It was a fun and fast little book that looks like a children's book (and is) but is quite poignant in the friendship and life lessons it has for adults (damn, I am one of those, for far too long!) Though most of the lessons are ones we all "know" at some level, seeing them spelled out so succinctly (with the wonderful accompanying Grace Snoke illustrations) made me stop on several occasions to ponder how or why things that seem so "common sense" need to be spelled out. Thank you, Anne, for a great start to our day. (As an aside, I loved the little insights at the end about who you are (never would have imagined) and what you do (listening to a song 631 times in a row is a little... well... uh... as part of the "Think Happy Club" I am happy you liked that song, so much, my friend!)) Looking forward to volume 2!

Even though the cover makes you believe this is a children’s book, it’s also aimed at teens and adults. Each illustration included is adorable and the handwritten words give you tips on how to keep a friendship strong. Many things include putting away the electronics as a way to keep in touch and just do so in person. Go out and have fun!As someone who has few real friends, it’s a great reminder to keep the few I do have close and not take a single one of them for granted. The ones that stick with you through everything are worth their weight in gold.If I had to come up with a negative on this book, it’s purely based on its length. It has 27 total pages including the cover. While the illustrations are great and the words heartwarming, I personally felt it should have been a lot longer if it was aimed at an adult market. However, as a cute, motivational book, it hit the nail on the head.
