About the Author Kim Lawrence was encouraged by her husband to write when the unsocial hours of nursing didn t look attractive! He told her she could do anything she set her mind to, so Kim tried her hand at writing. An ok read By Sandy Milan I'm not quite sure how to rate this one because there were elements that I liked but the premise is not one of my favourites. I think we've all read a number of these books where the H is out to get the scheming h and in so doing discovers that he was wrong about the h. This is one of those stories but it isn't particularly well done. My biggest issue and the reason for only giving 3 stars is that I felt that the H would never get away with dishonouring the h in the way he wanted to, given the fact that the h is the daughter of his cousin's wife. A bit complicated I know but in the end the H really was a bit of an a*s. There are better books (in this genre) out there

By Karen Clarke I felt revulsion that this alpha (not a Hero) lusted after the young woman who he knew was the illegitimate child of his dear friend, Angelina, who was only 16 when she gave birth to h, Maggie. I think it was slimy the way Rafael keeps thinking of bedding Maggie. The scene where Angelina finds out that Rafael has knowingly been screwing her lost daughter was awlful - "My daughter...you have betrayed every trust I ever had in you!"Kim Lawrence makes h Maggie absolutely gorgeous , which saves the story becoming a one star. An okay read but the self-absorbed alpha obsession is a turnoff for me and so is his indifference to Angelina's anguish. What a creep.
