8 of 10 people found the following review helpful. 3 stars By jennifer I received a ARC of Compulsion for a honest reviewLA douleur exquise....The heartbreaking pain of wanting someone you can’t have.Orion has loved Clo from the moment he first set his eyes on her, fate stepped in and his friend Zack got to her first, so he had to step aside and fall into the dreaded best friend zone.I felt really sorry for Orion as he had to watch the woman he loves, marry his friend, now I just think that's cruel.To be honest I didn't like Clo much and felt she was abit of a coward.
3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. Something to relate to. Great book! By Rachel Medhurst Orion represents those of us that have been in love with a friend for a very long time. It's amazing how many people do fall for those they're close to. I got frustrated at times with how easily he was pulled back in, but only because I recognised that in myself.Misti Murphy does any excellent job of portraying the very real and common emotions that come into play when wanting someone you can't have. I was hooked from the word go and read the whole book quickly.

Orion channeled his dormant alpha By Justirishgirl Stories where the hero and heroine are separated for too long of a period of time and are separate due to stubbornness or a stupidity irritate me. Therefore I was not liking the first 40% of the book. Clo was obvious and Orion too afraid of losing their relationship. The would almost come together and then something would happen. However, once Orion & Clo finally get together, the story really picks up. At that point until the end of the story, it kept my interest. Their chemistry and the scenes are hot. I loved Orion for his steadfast love and devotion to Clo that bordered on obsessiveness. I also loved when Orion finally channeled his dormant alpha, pushing her to acknowledge their relationship and how much they loved each other. The ending was a HNF but given their rocky history, I wanted a HEA ending. I will be fine with it as long as they do not separate in future books, which is always the risk when the hero and heroine are not given their HEA.
