I gave it a solid effort, I really tried! But the spelling, grammar, punctuation, misuse of pronouns, and changing tense in the middle of sentences all made this almost impossible to read! And I'm not talking about the ghetto slang language that every character seems to be using. The things in quotation marks are supposed to be their actual words, I get it. It's everything outside of them that doesn't get any better. Seriously, this is the kind of stuff that is covered in basic, middle school English! (I should have had an idea after seeing all the errors in the description of this book that were posted by the author!) Ok, that's my biggest problem. But also, like others have said, too many characters! The first two pages introduce seven women, which all seem to be main characters. They're all supposed to be college graduates and now in graduate school (or "in graduated school" as stated in the book) and they all have good jobs, but they all talk and act like straight up ghetto hood rats! Nothing but cuss word, insults, and racial slurs towards each other and every new character we get introduced to. And there are more....each one of the seven initial characters has a boyfriend, so our count doubles. Each one of the now 14 has parents, cousins, uncles, kids, nephews, etc. I lost count after about 30 names and backgrounds of different people...and I didn't even get through 1/4 of the book. I wasn't finding a story really, more of a biography of all the people. The only thing I know about them interacting together is that they all supposedly went to college together (although nobody in this book talks like they finished the eighth grade), they all like to fight, argue, and call each other names. I got nothing but negativity the entire time. This is truly one of the worst books I've ever tried to read!Oh, one more thing, on the acknowledgment page, the author thanks her lord and savior Jesus Christ for "given" her the strength and creative mind to write this. I have never heard a supposedly religious person use such copious amounts of awful, foul language. That was such a complete turn off. This author should truly be ashamed of herself!!

I didn't really get the title who was it really about cause it talked about different lives the book me totally lost. The only way I would read part two is if it's free cause I want waste my money. The question is who's falling for a drug dealer which character cause I don't know

I gave it four stars because I really hate when Authors put so many characters into a book and you have to keep track of everybody, OMG that carp is so exhausting. At the beginning of the book, I was so tempted to not continue with this book, because I really thought that this Author had lost her dam kind with all these different characters. But after finishing the book, I have to say, I really enjoyed reading it and can't wait to read the next book.
