Young, handsome, and the alpha of his wolf pack, Brandon has never had trouble finding men to have sex with. Only one thing is missing--his mate. Brandon can’t find him, and the rest of his pack is growing concerned about his lack of partner. An alpha needs a strong partner. Things seem to be looking up when he finally finds his fated companion in Aidan. One problem—Aidan’s asexual, and Brandon’s now confused. Who doesn’t want sex? Aidan, that’s who. And Brandon hasn’t got a clue how to make someone love him without it. It's going to take some serious self-examination, acceptance, and some really good cake for Brandon to make his way into Aidan’s heart. **All proceeds are going to charity.

But then, I picked this up because I am ace, not because I want to learn about them. I got far enough to like that it's informative and interesting, written from the perspective of someone baffled by asexuality. It's a gay-romantic romance and I am honestly 110% for that. I'd like to make certain people read it so they can follow the non-ace lead's example at the point which (I presume) he accepts the ace lead's asexuality. I'm assuming that's what happens. If it's not then I no longer like it but I feel like that's what happened. It had that sort of happy, ace-friendly vibe and I'm down for that.If you've read fanfiction, this definitely has the feel of that, which is not in a negative way at all. It's pretty well written, and it's honest and up-front about what it is. It's not trying to spring the gay on anyone. I mean, I'd love if books started springing gayness on people, but others probably wouldn't. I'm honestly just still so pumped that there's a book on Amazon involving an expressed, discussed asexual character who's the romantic interest. That's great. I'm here for that. I didn't finish it for personal preferences, but I fully support it. I want this author to succeed. Go, Ana J Phoenix. You go far.

This is the first story I have ever read to feature an asexual MC but I am glad that this was my first one. Not only does it have a very understanding outlook on the whole situation, but this book really introduces Aidan really well.On the whole, there are so many books out there that focus only on sex and frankly I also want them too because romance between two sexual beings doesn't get any more intense then that. But I was so happy to suspend those expectations for this one. Because once sex was out of the picture, Brandon and Aidan's relationship is just sooooo sweet and not that sugary sweet will give me diabetes kind but the genuinely sweet, cute, the one that leaves you smiling and makes you give life another chance kind.I liked Brandon, he is the alpha of his pack and he has problems in his pack, which I liked not like every other shifter book where the alpha's pack always respects their alpha or is so frightened that their is no other outcome. Even though I like those books too, I loved the different approach in this story. Even though yes Brandon does have problems with certain members of his pack, the way he is towards Aidan speaks more about his strength than anything else. To accept someone so completely in so little time even when everything they are is completely opposite to everything you expected is just mind-blowingly awesome. The story was awesome, the writing was awesome, the two MCs were awesome, in short this book is not the norm, it dares to question traditional takes on shifters and even on relationships and excels marvelously and is in short awesome. In the end the only thing I want to say is that the gambit of love will always be too infinite for the very finite recesses of the human mind and frankly we have just started to understand the tip of what is an iceberg.

By melrocks92 4 and a half stars!!!First and foremost, thank you for writing about an asexual character. And thank you for handling it as well as you did. As an asexual, it really means a lot that this story exists.okay, now that that's out of the way, I need to gush. this story was so cute! it's the first story with an asexual character that has gripped me and I couldn't stop reading once I started. I read this in one sitting.Aidan is pretty much as close as you can get to me in male form. lol. he's more okay with ~things~ than I am, but that's not the point. I love him. I love his pajamas and that he likes photography and that he loves food. haha.Brandon is so wonderful. He's so sweet, even though he doesn't get it at first. he respects his boundaries. Some other reviewers have called him a mama's boy and a weaker alpha, but I don't think that's the case. I like that he too is outside the norm. He reminds me of Scott McCall from MTV's Teen Wolf. And I love unsure Alpha's and boys with good relationships with their moms!!The Plot:I think it could have been a bit stronger and a bit less cliche, but it was hella cute and well written, so I'm not a stickler on that. and I liked that you managed to take the whole mate trope and write it in a way that was not corny at all, and more endearing and cute. I just wish that the interactions between Brandon and Aidan had more of an emotional connection outside the 'you're my mate and that's what you're going to be'. it sort of lacked that emotional weight to take it to the next level.Regardless, and I keep saying it, this was so cute and I can't wait to read the sequel.Instant otp and fave.
