Molly McAdams grew up in California but now lives in the oh-so-amazing state of Texas with her husband, daughter, and fur babies. Her hobbies include hiking, snowboarding, traveling, and long walks on the beach . . . which roughly translates to being a homebody with her hubby and dishing out movie quotes.

By Katie Anderson I want to start this off by saying I don't think I have ever stressed so much over buying a book as I did this one. Over 2 years ago, I read the book Taking Chances. Like a lot of people, that book completely ruined me as nothing had before, and as nothing has since. If I'm being completely honest, since I read TC, and, as a glutton for punishment, read Stealing Harper right after. Once I finished those, I swore off Molly and said I could never read another of her books again. I'm pretty sure I even 1 Starred those two books on Goodreads. (Maybe I should go revisit those reviews...)Fast forward to the present. I have been seeing advertisements for this book all over Facebook and Amazon. Since it was a Molly McAdams, I ignored said ads until one book group I am in mentioned it, and I saw the words Chase's son... I then spent an entire 24 hours trying to work out in my head whether or not I should read this book. I was afraid it would make it worse, that the feels the other books evoked would be amplified. I was afraid the dent in my wall from my when I threw my Nook at the wall 2 years ago would have a similar one from my new Kindle. I was also afraid I'd miss, and break my TV.I finally reached out to a book group and asked for advice. I was told to read it. I downloaded the book around 11PM, and didn't put my Kindle down until 4 AM. HOLY SMOKES DO I OWE MOLLY AN APOLOGY! I was afraid the memory of Chase would have been washed away and swept under the rug like a dirty little secret. I was afraid that my love for Chase and anger towards Brandon and Harper was going to overshadow the storyline, but it did not. I have spent the last 2 years ignoring all of her books because I just could not recover from the hangover to end all book hangovers.The book did one thing for me I never thought was possible, and that was that it healed my heart and fixed those feels I have been feeling the past two years. At times, I felt like I could feel Chase's presence in the storyline, like he was looking down on his family and smiling.I found quite a few similarities between Taking Chances and Trusting Liam, but with a different outcome that I was extremely happy with.To wrap this up, I went into this book, prepared to hate the book, and I think even a part of me wanted to, just so I could justify the feels I have been having for the past 2 years, but I was completely sold on Molly again, and am probably going to run off and go on a binge read of this author. Thank you, Molly, for writing this book, as my heart has finally been able to recover from this family's storyline!

I was drawn to the book because after reading the blurb, I saw that she was combining characters from two of her series. This book combines Liam (Son from Taking Chances #1) and Kennedy (Daughter from Forgiving Lies). I have never seen another author do this concept and I was completely intrigued. Now I am sure many are asking if you need to read any of the other books prior to reading this one and I would say absolutely not!! Yes it would give you some of the background towards the two families involved in this book, but it isn't necessary to understand what is going on. Molly does a wonderful job filling in the spaces that need to be filled so the reader isn't lost during the story. I personally have only skimmed Taking Chances (because I couldn't stand the ultimate heartbreak that book brought on) and I haven't read either book in the Forgiving Lies series and I wasn't lost once.Trusting Liam was a book full of emotions. From past things that took place between all the parents and also things that happened between Kennedy and Liam. My emotions were all over the place right from the start. I have to say I immediately fell in love with Liam. He is a fantastic Hero. This book had me laughing (Brian was hilarious), crying, blushing, and yelling, but in the end I was left with a HUGE smile on my face and my heart had been healed.Now let me tell you for all those team Chase fans out there, he still played a part in this story and I have to be honest in saying the way this story is told, Molly was able to heal my heart and shed some light on the whole Chase scenario. I can't really say much because that is a part of the book that I think all Taking Chances fans must read on their own. But I was so glad that things were explained in this book and I still felt that Chase was a huge part of these characters lives. I thought she honored Chase very well :)I loved that we got to see so many other characters from the other books in this one. That made this story feel real and believable. I also loved that we got to see where everyone ended up after what happened in Taking Chances.So before I go and give something away, I am just going to end my review here and say READ THIS BOOK!!!! You won't be sorry. All Molly fans will want to read this book and if Molly is new to you as a reader, this is a great book to start with. You will instantly see what a wonderful writer Molly McAdams is. This book was totally beyond anything I could've expected and I was extremely happy that I gave this book a chance. This book was a fairly quick read, but that could be because I couldn't put it down once I started reading it.

I absolutely love it when an author’s book worlds collide, and I was excited to see Liam and Kennedy all grown up. This story definitely stood on its own, but at the same time it managed to provide me with some closure regarding Taking Chances. Both Liam and Kennedy reminded me of their fathers, which I adored since they are my two favorite Molly McAdams’ heroes. Trusting Liam delivered just the right amount of angst, humor, heat, and sincerity to make this book a winner.I loved the circumstances of how Liam and Kennedy first met and then how life brought them together again. Liam’s confidence was sexy, and his pursuit of Kennedy was perfect. It wasn’t overly aggressive, but he definitely let Kennedy know that he wanted her and only her. Liam was the kind of guy who had everything going for him, so I have to admit it was fun to see him have to work for it. I greatly enjoyed his relationship with his family and especially with Brian, our favorite tattoo artist. He gave great advice in his own humorous way.Of course it warmed my heart to see Kash, Rachel, Mason, Eli, and Brandon again and watch them interact with their children. McAdams always does a fantastic job of keeping readers on their toes, and this book was no exception. I certainly had a couple of those “wait, what?!” moments that I have come to expect from her. It would be a lie if I said Trusting Liam didn’t make me miss Chase, but I appreciated the way his memory was handled in this story. I am so glad McAdams decided to write this fun spin-off revisiting these beloved characters.*An advance copy of this book was received in exchange for an honest review.*
