The author Julie Moffett again hits it out of the ball park with this laugh out loud moments from Meet the parents to her jumping out of a plane. I couldn’t stop laughing and cheering Lexis on. Julie Moffett created a character women can relate to whether it’s meeting the parents with a new boyfriend or doing anything for a friend or dealing with the unknown she forges ahead trying hard to do whatever is right.Julie Moffett keep Lexis growing as a person throughout the series taking on new challenges that keep readers hooked from first to last sentence. The book flows so well never once slowing down or losing the pace having readers hooked line and sinker. You will fall in love with a new set of characters Julie Moffett introduces and I can only hope they will be in another book in the future. I thought No Place like Rome was funny but this book had me laughing so hard I cried as Lexis single handily brought a Navy Seal to his knees. I will be honest, I bit my nails as Slash left Lexis when her choice was to save her friend instead of listening to Slash and I laughed again when Lexis gave relationship advice so her new found friends. This is a perfect addition to the Lexis Carmichael series if you loved the adventure- No Place Like Rome - you will love No Woman Laughed Behind. Lexi Carmichael meets Scot Harvath.....figuratively By Betteboop We finally have Lexi Carmichael meets Scot Harvath, figuratively, (Brad Thor's Navy SEAL)) and what a great story Julie Moffett has written now. The drama and tension run high, but we also see Lexi facing her greatest challenge.....having interpersonal relationships, a skill which has eluded her for so long.Lexi has to come to the aid of one of her closest friends, Elvis, but first she has to figure out how she feels about Slash and what to do about her parents' inquiries regarding their relationship.The last place we expect to find Lexi is in Somalia with the Navy SEALS.....but she's there facing down her old nemesis, Broodryk. She has to find and save Elvis while saving the US from the worst cyber attack ever.Can this all be written into a book? You betcha! And Julie has done a wonderful job of tying everything together while having Lexi save the world!

By Linda Lexi Carmichael is convinced she is about to face her greatest challenge ever—introducing her new boyfriend Slash to her parents. The dinner conversation is not thrilling Lexi, and as she is about to say something to her father, shots ring out, narrowly missing her. Slash takes off after the sniper, while Lexi frantically works to hide her family from danger. When she learns the sniper was after her, and not after Slash, she is pulled into a terrifying ordeal. A cyber-criminal mastermind blames Lexi for causing him to lose not only a huge amount of his money, but his reputation, as well. He wants revenge. When he takes something from Lexi, she sets out to get it back. Every government agency is on the hunt for this man, and they need Lexi’s help to get to him before he carries out a threat that will cause problems around the world. With a small contingent of Navy SEALs protecting her, Lexi does what she does best—uses her smarts to save the day.What a great read! The action is nonstop, and I found it impossible to put this book down. This fast-paced, well-plotted story held my attention from beginning to end. I was glued to the pages and read this book in one sitting—I didn’t even try to stop. Once again, the author has taken Lexi out of her comfort zone. With each book, Lexi grows and changes. She is a great character. She is smart, thinks quickly “on her feet”, is loyal to those she loves, and is completely genuine. The usual secondary characters aren’t around this time, but once you read the book, you will understand why.I love this series. It is one of my favorites, and I strongly recommend it. Give it a try.
